A How To Blog On: Taking a good picture of yourself.
There's nothing I like more than a good cam whore session, what can I say, I'm a bit vain.
But, there's nothing more cringe-worthy than a horrible generic picture or a 'OmGzzz I'm sOO seXci *pushes boobs together*' picture. I'm going to give you beautiful GSBians a lesson on a way to produce a good 20 comments Myspace default.
Let's start with the Poses and Faces to avoid:

I don't really think I need to explain each face/pose, as it's pretty self explanitory. They look a bit silly and some even a bit skanky. They're ok if you're mucking around with a friend, but if you'd really like to tell the whole of Myspace 'This Is Me!' with your boobs half exposed or your tongue poking out...
I find that the best way to take a picture is to rest or lean it up against something and put it on a timer, then pose and wait. Try your hardest to avoid any of the above poses. Also, be creative, don't pull the same pose every time.
Don't copy someone elses picture so it's identical. Mix up your outfits, try to not wear the same top in every single snap (it makes you look like you don't have a laundry day). Don't stack on the eyeliner and red lippy and take photos, that's not you, that's someone with a cheesecake face pretending to be you.
Try not to get all of your arms in when taking a picture, makes you look gooberish.
Angle wise, I find the portrait straight up and down it best. Landscape can make you look wider than you are and holding the camera slightly titled is just plain silly looking.
Look natural, look a bit cute and sometimes look silly. Be as silly and crazy as you want if your with a bunch of friends, though.
Find an angle of your body and face that suits you, eg: side profile, tilted up, front on etc.
Find a style like.. lookimg angry, innocent, serious etc to help you get the kind of compliment you're striving for.
NEVER TAKE PICTURES IN YOUR KNICKERS OR IN A BIKINI (unless you're actually at the beach or in a pool.)

So, there's the basics to a good Myspace picture. I hope I was helpful and not rude.
Thankyou!

That made me giggle. I quite like the picture in the second row, second column, actually. *shrug*

Tbh I think, even though you think they look silly, people are entitled to take the pictures they want. The pictures they feel comfortable with.
Everybody has their own opinion and style and if you feel it's a nice picture of yourself, to hell with what others think!

I agree to some things, but I mean, if you do want to take a picture of yourself in a way that you said you shouldn't, why not? If you feel that's you, why not?

duuude, i love your blogs! this one is awesome, this is cause i suck at photos.
oh, and another bad photo is the one where you are trying to get a photo of someone, then they pull a stupid face while trying to get out of the way, then put their hands near the screean, and only make themselves look stupider lol
they only have to turn around and walk off...
