Rays of sunlight through the window
Slipping through ever so
Gradually they steal my heart
Wishing we would never part.
The cold air moved slowly through the room, hovering slightly by the door as if wondering whether it should stay beside me longer. A ray of sunlight hit my blank page as the rain clouds moved on to darken someone elses day. I smiled knowingly. Piece by piece things were coming together. I start each day with a smile and finish with a smile. I'm back to being happy all of the time. And I'm glad. My body mourned the loss of happiness, of energy, of comfort. I can now sleep a full night without staying up late worrying or over thinking something I shouldn't be.
For once in my life, I've put myself first. I've managed to stand up to those who were treating me wrong, I am now admitting how I feel. It feels fantastic.
And you know something? I've never been happier. (:
