Growing Up In A Hollister Nation
Passing grades, homework, making time for friends, remebering what date your English project is due on.
We all have alot of things on our mind. Whether your 13 or 33, they're are all sorts of things we can think about.
Is fitting in with the crowd one of them?
It's something that seems to be occuring all across the nation. Girls, and boys alike, seem to be striving to look like they're friends or the people they see on TV. Now, we've all heard the typical 'Oh yeah, jocks rule my school.' Nowadays, it seems you don't even have to play a sport to be popular. Take a girl who's new to a school, and she comes in with a Hollister t-shirt and jeans, and looks bascially 'normal'. What happens? She seems to make friends by the next day or so. However, take that same girl and put her in a band t-shirt and ripped tight pants, what happens? People go around saying, 'Did you see that new weird girl?' 'Yeah.'
So, that may not happen to some of you, but trust me, I think we've all seen some form of this happen.
Or, take some a boy who comes in wearing tight pants and a band t-shirt. Doesn't wear eyeliner, doesn't have perfectly styled 'emo hair'. Now what happens? 'Did you see that new gay kid in the tight-ass pants?'
To me, nowadays, it seems like people's apperence has surpassed their wanting to further their education.
Do you understand it?
Neither do I.

the hollister girl gets dissed by the hot topic girl.
hot topic girl gets dissed by the hollister girl.
both cliques are equally angry. plus, outcasts are becoming far less cast out than people act. its a point of view thing. no one ever stands up for preppy people and look at all the crap they get! its a double standard.
i personally hate/love all people equally. ^__^

that's exacty why i dont base people on popularity and refuse to 'fit in'
no one should be pressured like that.

I understand, and I agree. People judge too much by what others wear and look like, and it's quite sad. looks are everything in our soceity these days.

what if she gets more friends for wearing a hollister girl?..
its ok..
there is just more people that likes hollister clothes than the so called emo style...
i wonder if you want to be friend of someone who dres hollister clothes or hot topic?
well.. we chose the friends that are like us .. and tbh i would be friend of the girl who dress hollister, its more my style..
to be friend of the other girl i would have to know her more, because if i only see her.. i would not feel atracted to her..
well..
:)
i don'r know if you undertand what i meant..

Well I like hollister, but that's just me.
I don't do things to conform, I put my own spin on things,
I honestly hate people that copy other people.
I have a friend that does it, pure annoying >:[
