Background Info:
I was born with a complete unilateral cleft lip, but I also had mandibular prognathism. When I was six months old I had the cleft lip repaired, but it stuffed up and blocked my left nostril. Back in March this year I had my jaw reset (OUCH to the power of 376312956) and in June (?) I had my nose and some complications/infections ect. from the previous opperation fixed. This time, the third time, there was another infection form the bimaxillary osteotomy (ooh big words) so I had it fixed again. This is what happened...
Tuesday, 1st of December 2009: 8:20am
Woke up, got ready ect. ect. Left at 9:15, got to hospital at 10:30.
Waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
Tuesday, 1st of December 2009: 6:15pm
Apparently there was a crap load of emergency surgery, either I had to go home, or have the opperation at 10:00pm, which would have mean I would've gone home at 2:00am.
Bugger.
Wednesday 2nd of December 2009 5:40am
Woke up, got ready ect. ect. Left at 6:15, got to hospital at 7:00.
Waited.
10:00am, went into the waiting bay in my gorgeous papery gown. A short time later, went into the theatre. Y'know how in movies, when someone is going unconcious, they hear a word repeated? Well, as I was going out, all i could here was "-ed...-ed...-ed...-ed..." Creepy, yeah? Anywho..
11:30am I woke up, bright lights sooooo DO NOT help! Sucked. But there were two cute murses so...

I got to go home!! YAAY!! But now I have 3 sets of antibiotics and such. Boo.

I babysit a little boy who recently had his first surgery to repair his lip :O
He's so cute :D
