'Nobody Likes You'
Well...a few weeks ago, I bought Nobody Likes You with my christmas money.
And I have to say it is honestly the best fucking book I have ever read!!
And not just because it revolves around my favouritest band of all time, but because of the really interesting stuff about music in Green Day's childhood era - stuff like Operation Ivy, the Sex Pistols, the Clash etc. etc. and The Gilman Era.
It starts off with a introduction, describing Green Day's huge status as a worldwide popular band. It then leads on to the first chapter - Billie Joe Armstrong's (and later Mike Dirnt's) childhood.
From then on it tells the tale of Sweet Children, performing at the Gilman, John Kiffmeyer (Al Sobrante), becoming Green Day, the acquiring of Tre Cool and their rising fame with Dookie and beyond.
Its a great book...with great photos...and is overall great. XD
Worth the money, and worth reading even if you are not too obsessed with Green Day.

Wow. 2 hours? Nice. It took me longer 2 read that 1 (I have it 2). I also have 2 others called GREEN DAY: AMERICAN IDIOTS AND THE NEW PUNK EXPLOSION by Ben Myers and THE STORY OF GREEN DAY by Doug Small. I'm still reading the first 1 I mentioned...yep, still trying 2 find enough quiet time 2 read.

wow that's good to know, a local book store was going out of business so everything was at least 40% off and I saw that book and didn't know if I should get it...I did, but I haven't read it yet, so it's good to know that I made a good choice in buying it
