Quote Mike Shinoda To Produce Next Linkin Park Album
Fans rejoice! Linkin Park emcee Mike Shinoda is set to produce Linkin Park's next album.
Billboard.com has just revealed that Mike, fresh off producing the acclaimed debut album from his hip-hop side project Fort Minor will be manning the switches of Linkin Park's follow-up to 'Meteora'. Shinoda recently commented that the band wanted to take control of their own sound, so what better way than to do it themselves?
Shinoda commented; "Rap/rock and new metal have been used to describe Linkin Park. But if you think of a song like 'Breaking the Habit,' it would be kind of difficult to describe that as rap/rock. It's not very accurate. On the next record, we're looking to break away from that label even further than we have in the past"
The article also goes on to explain that Warner and Linkin Park are resolving their differences over contract disputes, after the band filed a public statement earlier this year announcing they would not resume work on their new album until negociations were concluded.
