Posts: 12 | July 27th, 2006 at 02:50pm well american idoit already has a decent plot about a guy maybe named Jimmy from jingletown usa and he has a difficult life and hates this town and sees it burning down in his dreams and questions himselfand then jimmy (jesus of suburbia) turns into st.jmmy and he likes this girl who is a punk rock rebal and wants to go out with her and does and shes really not who thinks she is and she has two personalitys whatshername and who she really is and not for who jimmy shes her as (whatshername) and then he leaves the town to find a new town then whathername writes a letter to him a says the town (jingletown) burns down and then jimmy kills himself cause of his issuses and he "blew his brains out in to the bay" or that could mean thats hes not st.jimmy any more and he goes back to jingletown but he cant find whatshername.(this is just what i think the story from AI i may be wrong) |

So I mean, maybe that's what Green Day wants?
It's just already so over done...I mean the story itself seems blown out
of proportion. Yes, we're all familiar with the character the Jesus of
Suburbia, and he lives inside many of us, but...what's the point of making
a movie? I mean really...I just don't understand. The album was enough.
Then the JOS video, okay...now a movie. That's just going overboard.
It's going to kill the whole essence of American Idiot. The reason the
album is so amazing is because it is MUSIC. It's instruments and voices
and words, bringing this story to life. Now to make a movie out of it, would
be ridiculous. I guess the story is easy bait for a movie, but I don't think
it's the right decision for Green Day to make.
What has that to do with "taking a risk" ?
Releasing AI was a risk - for them - they said so.
And actually .. everything's a risk in that media.
I think a movie would be awesome, if it's done well and stuff.
As long as its not directed by Samuel Bayer, I'm happy. |

Uh... no.
The Who made Tommy into a movie and obviously that was a huge success and to whom some people class as a classic movie.
Look into things first before saying things like that.
