Wake Me Up When September Ends Single?

I've read a couple of times now that Wake Me Up When Spetember Ends is going to be the 4th single (after Holiday) do we know if this is true or just plain bull shit?

when i bought american idiot it had a sticker on it saying featuring american idiot, boulervard of brocken dreams, holiday and wake me up when september ends.
i assume they will be the singles

I want whatsername too. That's one of my faves. I either read it in Kerrang or NME and on some Green Day website. But I've seen it a couple of times.

I like wake me up when september ends but I'm a little bored of it cos I put it on my compilation disc twice by accident instead of letterbomb! I can't believe it. I like it though. It makes me sad.

dude, wake me up when september ends rocks! it could be perfect for the next single. i didnt even know that the next single will be holiday.

The next song will be more than likely be Holiday as it will be released and the 2nd part to Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

The third is definately holiday, they've made a video and everything. I think Wake Me Up When September Ends is perfect for the fourth single because it's not blatantly obvious what it's about but it's still enough to make you realise, oh shit. It's about 9/11. I only realised when I looked at the inlay bit and that song was dated 10th september and then it all clicked.
Wherever I've read it it's said the planned fourth single or something like that so yeah...
I really hope they release whatsername. That is one of the best songs ever. I love it.

It's kind of linked to it, but his dad didn't die in 9/11, he died when Billie Joe was 11. I guess it's kind of moulding them both together (9/11 and the death of his dad) if I didn't have you cheese no one would have a clue what I mean. (yeah...) you're a great semi person cheese. ( I love you...)

Um yea it's not about september 11th its about his dad who died when billie was like 10 or 11 it says "20 years has gone so fast" and he wrote it in 2003 hes 32 so 20 years ago from '03 he would have been 11...there you go there are no actuall lyrics that relate to 9/11

I thought it was about 9/11 'cause it's like wake me up when september ends. September 11th and in the inlay thingy the date next to that song is 10th of september which is the day before 9/11 so i just thought it was about 9/11 which I suppose is a fair guess because it could be taken in that way. 'The innocent can never last' The people in the twin towers were innocent. I jsut thought it was about 9/11 with a bit of his feelings about his father added in.
