| September 29th, 2007 at 09:54pm I just realised that I actually do know a lot of smokers who hate smoking. It's just become so much of a habit that they find it comforting even though it's disgusting. Like Samuel Beckett said, 'Habit is a great deadener.'
Of course, I'd like to point out that what choice do you really have in the face of economic nessecity, but smoking isn't a nessecity especially before you even start it. Of course as Karl Marx said, 'Religion is the opiate of the masses.' But if today's masses do not have religion anymore, they mey ten to rely on other things. |
