I have kissed smokers before I started smoking myself and it's no big deal.

I actually like the taste of smokey mouths. :;shrugs:: probably just because i smoke.

Tbh i'd rather kiss someone whos breath smelt of smoke than the smell of a natural smelly breath lol

I've never touched a cigarette and I very, very much doubt I ever will. I don't like the smell or taste of second-hand smoke and so can't ever imagine wanting the full force of it. My older brother smokes like a chimney, and has given up for a while before, but he lives with his girlfriend and they both smoke, so if you mention quitting to him he seems resigned to smoking forever because they're both happy in their situation and one giving up would be very hard. And they just like cigarettes so have no will or want to give up.
He's an adult but tbh he hasn't 'grown up' yet and very much lives for the moment. My grandfather died from emphysema from smoking, and my brother had severe asthma as a child, so I don't think he's thought about what he's doing at all. I'd like him to quit because his overall lifestyle is like watching a car crash sometimes, but he won't be told.

^^ All you can do is wait for him to figure it out himself.

I'm trying to give up, honestly its not working and no one is supporting me. its hard, but if smoking was that bad to the goverment why don't they stop making them>?

I have that same problem. Every time my boyfriend would light up near me, I'd get an instant migraine. It was like someone flipped a switch when the lighter was flicked, and boom!.....My day was ruined.

He's trying so hard to quit now because he doesn't want to smell like an ashtray when he's with our daughter.

^ migraines don't EVER come on that quickly. The build up to a migraine is a slow build up which you wouldn't have even noticed for at least an hour. Then your vision would slowly have gotten blurry, your sinuses ache and only THEN does your head feel like it's going to explode and leave you feeling sick.
That's a migraine. Don't know what you experienced, but it wasn't a migraine.

ON TOPIC THOUGH, I've smoked since I was like... 13 or thereabouts and to be perfectly honest, I do enjoy it. It's expensive yes, and it'll probably kill me, but the way I see it is; why not at least enoy SOMETHING? Yes, there are plenty of other things i could be doing, but smoking's my thing.
I've had several non smoker boyfriends and none of them ave ever complained about me tasting like an ashtray- it's all about oral hygiene really. Pop mints or chewing gum like a normal person would, brush your teeth regularly etc. and there's no problem.

The government does not "make" cigarettes. If you mean why don't they ban them, it's because it's beneficial to them. I'm not sure where you're getting your facts, but obviously, the money the government loses from related diseases is less than the money it makes by legalizing cigarettes.

Basically, I'm a very self-destructive person. I can't cope without hurting myself in some way. In the past, I've self-harmed, starved myself, f*cked myself up on drink and drugs etc.
But now, smoking is my only destructive behavior, and I'm proud of that.

Personally I think smoking is a pointless, discusting, and dangerous habbit.
But it's the descion of the people who smoke whether they should do it or not, and they know what they're letting themselves in for.

The only reason I can think of for smoking is to relieve stress. I wouldn't know if it works or not, I've never tried it.
And to be honest, I'm not about to in a hurry.

oh god you just got to love the trolling anyways my opinion! I smoke ! so whatever i like it and i dont care if i die people who choose to smoke they smoke! Yeah some are sometimes rude and smoke to your face and you dont like it and so on and so on. He's just an ass! but yeah if ppl choose to smoke then let them i mean hey they like it and they are totally aware of the amount of money they are spending! so yeah ill stop there

I know this is east for me to say because I am not a smoker. But what the hell do people see in smoking, I mean how does one start? Everyone knows it is bad for you, and then they bitch that they addicted and can't quit. Why the hell would you start in the first place? There is no logic to it what so ever.

ok i'll be serious now.
well one of the things is what Joe and Fred did, they wanna be cool so they smoke. It looks fun to break a law and be hardcore. alot of older people who smoke started smokeing cuz back then people where less educated on it. Alot of people also don't care about there bodys.
