I'd go with the Les Paul, i have a Les Paul Studio, its awesome, i've never played a melody maker but all Gibsons are amazing... in my opinion. |

Posts: 75 | July 22nd, 2005 at 06:07pm WELLL people... it depends what sorta sound u want..what sorta sound do u want?? is the question u need to ask yourself. if u want quite a heavy soundin guitar, then go for the les paul, but if u want somethin softer soundin then go for the tele. tis my opinion. personally, ive got the les paul, coz they're nice to play.  |

He's not sure, but he breaks strings like crazy and is wondering if it's the guitar or him. It's kind of funny tho. *Playing By The Way* *while playing* Guys, I popped a string! It sounds funny at the end... |

but my friend strings brake all the time he has a squier strat too Yeah, I think the Sqier Strat doesn't hold them correctly or something. I don't know, but I don't like it. He's my drummer's brother because we don't have a guitarist, but a kid came in today and he had a Fender Telecaster and it was awesome, I think he's in too... |

they're not that heavy compared to ibanez's and jackson's. there's one bad thing i can think of for the les paul, it doesn't have whammy bar >_< |
