Probably their cover of The Man Who Sold the World or In Bloom. Can't stop listening to those 2
Their whole Unplugged in NY CD/Concert was amazing. I've seen vids from some of the songs on youtube
Hey I remember you from.... somewhere. And you got a Lost avatar. Cool bananas.
Oh yeah, Nirvana. Uhh.. overrated but they still put out great tunes.
I used to post around here once in a while. I'm mostly in the Photos thread. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | April 14th, 2006 at 10:09am I read a Nirvana book a few weeks ago. It definitely opened my eyes to Kurt. I couldn't decide whether or not I liked him or thought he was an asshole. You had to feel sorry for him with all those stomach problems and the depression. But then he was a dick when he wanted to get most of the money from the band and Chris and Dave woldn't get as much.
I still think he's a genius with his music. How often do you hear his sound? Maybe its just me. And his lyrics are cool.. the ones that make sense lol |

i think we should just stop with the mean jokes. it's a sensitive subject for me and the book i'm reading doesn't help. at all.
i apologize then. but i still find the joke funny.
and why are you reading a book that makes you sad? read happy books! kids need to be happier these days.
i'm reading the book for kurt, in honor of kurt. he's a very big inspiration to me with his music.
may i ask how he's inspired you with his 'music'??
lyrically, his music has inspired many people and much music.
ah the lyrics. i guess they do have some lyrics that are in the good range. i just never understood how cobain was an icon. i'm not going to get into details about why i don't like them, but i must say, they're one of the most over-rated bands ever. people say they have amazing guitar and cobain sings really well...both of which are very untrue. but they have many fans, so nothing i say means anything here.
As much as I love Nirvana I'm with you on the guitar stuff. They have a unique sound but Kurt really isn't that good of a guitarist.
People have their own opinions. I don't think there's anthign wrong with that. |

their style of 'grunge' music which happened in the 90's. but although grunge was somewhat popular with bands like nirvana and pearl jam, it obviously wasn't a good enough genre to win the ears of younger kids. the kids went to listen to backstreet boys and nsync during the 90's while grunge was born and died. kids these days have a lot of great music to listen to so that's why pop music isn't as popular anymore. i'm not dissing all grunge, but what nirvana started wasn't great.
you know, i don't think grunge officialy "died" and honestly i don't think it even officialy lived. The thing people don't seem to understand is that Nirvana didn't create grunge, they didn't even consider their music as grunge, they hated that label, it's just that before Nirvana, grunge was very underground and Nirvana brought it "overground"
there are still a few grunge bands today but they are not as trendy as they were in the 80's and 90's, a trend can die and it doesn't mean the music died |

I didn't, sure the thing about "the death of grunge" is my own theory but the rest is only facts |
