I saw FFTL @ bamboozle '06 in NJ. it was the poo.
shame shame is about, well, obviously, sonny feeling ashamed of himself. he said that he would let his body do whatever it wanted, and then he'd feel terrible about it later. I think it might be the next single.
waltz moore is about sonny having and fighting bulimia, possibly also anorexia, which to me is very sad and unfortunate, but its probably hard to ignore so many rumors and shit-talking.
heroine is about the mom he never really had, because he discovered he was adopted at age 15, and he also found out that he'd known his real parents his whole life--they were close friends of his adopted parents.
afterbirth is also kind of about learning of his adoption and how he reacted to it.
world war me is just about being totally destructive and irresponsible and not knowing how to get out of that lifestyle.

the song heroine became really important to me (I was almost in tears for sonny) when I finally read the lyrics when the CD came out and figured that he was singing about his real mom, and my respect for him and the entire band was increased dramatically.
when you hear sonny sing live, it's really something else.
everyone was like, "-looks to whoever they came with with incredulous face- DAYUM."

I almost got to meet FFTL at the bamboozle, but my friend and I spent like AN HOUR running around this massive space (like warped tour size) looking for the signing booth because the epitaph booth gave us weird directions and none of the guards or techs or ANYBODY knew where it was, one guy even said "we're actually trying to figure that out for ourselves..."

one girl only got to meet them because she was crying hysterically because they wouldn't let anyone else get online and travis wanted her to shut up, basically.

I was a little mad, but I plan to stalk them at warped tour this summer..
I made eye contact with each member of the band from like 10 feet away when they were signing things, mostly derek, matt (he's mad tall), and travis, since sonny was sitting down, and we only made eye contact like once when he stood up to give someone a hug.
his eyes were HUGE, if that makes sense.
best day of my life.

me loves this band, now more than green day (which is a huge deal for anyone who really knows me).
