I really like it. A lot of people may think they have "stretched the truth" but there are kids like that out there... who are thirteen.

It just magnified how bad things can get. I thought it was pretty good..

I got SO sick of this film.
My sister watched it every single time it was on the movie channels.
So that's like, twice a day.

Get's boring, real fast.

I adore Thirteen. It's actually probably the scariest movie I've ever seen, 'cause it's real. The chances of a murderer who can't be killed walking the streets and killing random people out of boredom is slim to none, but there's no denying the fact that there are young kids who get screwed up in this life. My ex-boyfriend was thirteen when he got into drugs. I was younger when I started cutting, I was probably only thirteen when I stopped. My ex-best friend was only thirteen when she O.D.ed the first time. It's real, if people want to deny that, they can't complain about it, because they're the ones hiding from the truth.

I started watching it once. It seemed pretty dumb at first and I'm not really that interested in ever finishing it, but I must admit that it touches a very serious and real issue and that it would help a lot of kids to watch it.

I know - I saw it with my mom too & it was very awkward. but it wasn't like she condemned me for wanting to watch it or anything. she actually thought it was interesting.

I like that it's quite realistic, yet a side unseen of American trailor trash, kinda at the same time.

I liked it.
It's realistic. and shows that cutting is not 'emo' or 'stupid' or even 'for people who are bored'.
We watched it in religion class too. many people were shocked that this really happens.

its realistic, but not all 13 year olds do it.
I was actually surprisd they picked the age 13.
(i know its based off a true story though, right?)

but i guess with today's society these things are happening with younger kids

i think the society is expecting too much of kids and young people. they can't take the presure.
