But maybe  GDA says they confirmed they won't be.
Oh bastards. That most likely means they won't be winning then. Well U2's never lost an award. So... there IS a chance. 
But then they probably would have gone..
I have the theory that most artists ask if they are going to win beforehand, so that they can decide on wasting their time or not.
Except, Billie was very surprised when they won last time.. but he was also presenting.  WHAAAT. I don't know.
Apparently GDA said they weren't going.. but I didn't see that anywhere.

And I was talking about U2 as well. I brought Green Day up, first of all, because this site is about THEM.
And second of all, because they were up for an award with Green Day this year.
