...Did anyone here remix The Hand That Feeds or Only when Trent had that going on? I did Only if anyone wants to hear it. |

| June 24th, 2006 at 02:53pm Okey dokey. I'll upload it now, I guess. It doesn't include most of the tracks of the song because the free trial version of the program I was using was kind of limited. Let's just say I used 10 tracks out of somewhere near 50. xD
BUT. My friend said it sounded better than the real song, so I guess it can't be too bad, right? |

| June 24th, 2006 at 03:27pm Haha, thanks.
And the best thing that I learned through the whole experience of remixing it was: Trent sounds like an angry fool ranting to his reflection in a mirror without the music behind him. |

| June 24th, 2006 at 03:31pm I think all the tracks are still up on his site, so if anyone else wants to remix them, I'd be happy to listen afterward. |

| June 24th, 2006 at 03:42pm Yeah, I was the same when I first tried to do it. I used the free version of Sony Acid. NIN gives you all the instrument and synth and vocal tracks, which is basically the components of the song broken down. The way the real song is, is just the tracks strung together in loops.
The way the program is set up, you coordinate these "loops" to play at certain times. To keep it free you're only allowed to use 10 tracks. You can overlap them and turn up the volume on one and lower it on another; anything you want. It sounds harder than it actually is. Once you see how it works you'll find it easy to use. I hear the program is kind of like Pro Tools, which a lot of producers use to mix CDs and stuff.
I hope that cleared it up if you try it. |
