 Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 826 | August 9th, 2006 at 06:35pm Meh...I don't know...it would be really hard, and plus, I'm already risking it by sneaking off to Warped; I volunteered to help some people at school who run an environment club thing to help them out cause you get a free ticket to Warped, but there are no "adults" going. Also we're taking the rapid-transit system there. 1) not allowed to go to Warped 2) always have to have an "adult" at any concert 3) never allowed to ride rapid. So yeah, I'm totally risking it to get to Warped.
The dates for their shows around me are on weekdays when I'd have school and swim practice (I'd feel bad if I missed swimming) so that would be difficult. Plus, they always have to know where I'm going (again, must have an "adult" . So yeah, it's really hard to pull this stuff off. I might be able to if they come through Cleveland, but if they don't, I seriously doubt I'll be able to.
lol, why do I keep typing like, whole paragraphs? wtf? |

| August 9th, 2006 at 06:55pm I have a similar sort of conflict going on. My mom sort of flipped after Warped for some reason, so it'll be hard to convince her to let me go. And I'd need a ride to even get there. It's an hour away and it's not like people would willingly drive for two hours to get me there and back. I'm not sure I could convince my dad to bring me, because he went to my last Thursday concert. *sigh* The complications of life... |

You mean like in the Heaven Knows video? When I first saw that I thought he reminded me of Eddie Vedder, not really sure why but he did. |

That was an amazing show, the pit was fucking insane and I was seriously inches away from touching his hand *teenie moment* ahem....ok, anyway, yes they were very good. They were on the one stage I couldn't find (don't ask me, I'm special) so I got there when they were in the middle of what I think was their first song and then Anti-Flag played right after them (got them to sign my shirt!). RA setlist was about like this, but I can't remember exactly, I might be a bit off;
(in general order)
State of the Union
Life Less Frightening
I think a new one
Ready To Fall
Give It All
I think another one, but I can't remember
Motion City Soundtrack was the last band and after we went to dinner. We had a table by the window and when we looked out we realized that MCS was sitting right outside the window, it was so funny/cool! We ended up holding a napkin with "HI!" written on it and they waved (not my fav band, but it was still cool).
So my plan worked and I did have to run around picking up bottles and cans for a few hours, but it was totally worth it and my mother had no idea. Until this mornings paper. Fucking paper. I didn't make it abundantly clear that there were going to be bands there too, I kinda made her think it was just a big festival thing, and she was pissed. Basically, she doesn't trust me anymore and I'm going to have trouble doing anything for quite a while, but you know what? I don't really care cause it totally worth it. |
