When do you think the new Green Day album will come out??

i think in a year or so. summer 2007 give or take a month or so. but my friend knows this kid who claims to have heard the new green day song but she doesn't believe him.

as said before, they haven't even started working on it

i think the earliest it could be is late 2007. latest might be summer 2008. no one can be sure though.

My best reasonable guess would be around the summer of 2008.

i read an interview with billie joe says that he had written 12 new songs whilst they were on tour. he also said they were going to rest and that they will we releasing the new album no in a rush but in all in good time.

They don't want to rush it. They want another successful album - not another Insomniac if you get what I mean. They have A LOT of pressure. They were lucky with American Idiot - they werent one of Reprise's mega artists at that time when they were recording it. The stress levels werent high - thats why they took their time.

They're barely putting down demo's right now. It takes a little while to get into the recording mood.

Im actually surprised they're starting demos already. Recording a album takes a while then you have mixing on top of that... Its a long stressful process. I mean - they have pressure to top a mega multi award winning album thats already being called a 'classic'. It even won 2 Grammys for christ sake. Sooo...
