Um... they usually go on tour the year the albums are released and keep it up for at least one year. For AI it was two years.

I'm guessing sometime in 2007... probably later in the year.

It's so frustrating.

First they said summer 2006.

Now it's like, even up to 2008!

I wish it will come out soon, but I think it will be a year before we see the new album. I mean, I understand why... They did a lot of touring for the AI album, I suppose they want to take it easy for a little while and hang out with their families.

I dunno. I think it might be released sometime between December '06 - June '07. BUT,OMGWTF...that's a long time.

Ummm...NO. Billie Joe said himself, "Green Day till Death."

Last album before Retirement? I think not.

I hope it takes less than three years.

the only thing anybody can say for sure is that the band will release it when they are ready. from hints at what they have planned for this year, the earliest release date is next year.

as for this being their last album, rumours like that are spread by people who either dont like the band or enjoy watching obsessed fans agonising over crap like that.

the band will quit when they feel they cant do it any more. no band plans to retire if they are really in a band because they love making music together. they split because they just cant do work together any more. Billie might have made comments about the nobody leaving the band except in a body bag but even he cant predict the future. the band have come close to splitting twice already.

but that said, they are NOT anywhere near giving it up at the moment. so if people tell you they have, tell them they are talking out of their rear ends!

I thought they started working on the new album a couple of months ago, but at least we know they definitely are doing it now. It's probably going to be released within the next year or two, hopefully. I'm so happy!!!!!

It's suppose to come out in fall of this coming year..

in Kerrang last week billie was asked that question and he said the new album isnt likely to be out until the begining of 2008. so yes we have another year without them.
