 | April 30th, 2008 at 07:54am idk i'm in such a slump right now.
My next media deadline is friday and there's all these stupid sheets I have to fill in for it like dubbing cue sheets and logging sheets and edit decision lists. It's a waste of time.
BUT. What ho. What ho. I have to work at lunch since my co worker has an exam and can't help. So i'll be sat in the private editing suite alternating between media work and planning this essay.
Hopefully i'll feel better after college when we have our twilight advanced English lesson. idk though. |

That sounds lovely, like something the Elves might do.
And seriously, they are just stressing you out and everything has to be done at once, but you're at the pinnacle of preparedness!! |

 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:02am I wish! No I am okay I think.
I am just getting really stressed at the moment. It doesn't help that my friend (sort of) was like "OMG R YU FINDIN IT DIFFIKULT LOLZ HOW IT IS PISS EASI!"
Lol, i'm sure they sound much nicer when you don't have to attend them!!
My last twilight media session was on monday though |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:05am Maybe. I think I am just attracted to anything with 'twilight' in the title!
I am getting prospectuses (prospecti??) from Oxford and King's College and Cambridge.
..as for your 'friend' my money is on her being a fool! XD |

 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:08am She's still bitter 'cause I got the top marks in media last year and she came second. Oh and because I got recommended for the advanced paper and she had to go and ask if she could do it
I was looking at Cambridge for uni, but they didn't do a decent enough media course - as much as it broke my heart. Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge is my insurance choice though. But that would be pants if I had to go there. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:26am They don't do normal paper prospectuses and its driving me mental, I like having a hard copy to peruse at leisure. I don't think I would get into Oxford or Cambridge tbh. They say you only need a 2.1, which I have, but then they're all "Oh the kind of people who get into this amazing, pretigious university usually came top of their graduating class, and are more or less complete geniuses BEFORE they ever set foot on our campus" ...
..and see! You are obviously capable of this stuff if you ever got recommended to do it. |

 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:49am Yeah idk. Since I last left a message I filled out the audio requirements sheet and the offline edit decision sheet
The logging sheet might take me a while but I bet I can get it done for the end of lunch. No food for me, oh well.
Are you looking to Cambridge or Oxford to go to uni? I'm confused, what are you doing now? How can you get a 2.1 if you've not already been to uni? |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:53am Yeah, well I want to go to a uni in England to do a Masters/Post Graduate/PhD. I have a degree in Psychology already, but I need more.
..and yay! progress! You should grab a snack though, or else you'll crash & burn. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | April 30th, 2008 at 08:58am lol. I didn't even know Bournemouth had a uni! XD I am gonna try and check all the courses at like.. every university in the UK.
..and omg, the actual cash point got stolen?! Maybe I won't come to Bournemouth!
EDIT: And I don't really know, seeing as its the only degree I have ever done, I can't really compare. I did English literature and language in first year, and Computer Programming for a while, and Social Anthropology, and it was like way easier than English, or Computers, but way harder than S.A. I think it depends on what kind of mind you have, and what you're good with though. |

 | April 30th, 2008 at 09:02am NOT AT BOURNEMOUTH In Desford where I go to college.
Bournemouth uni is fabbydabbydozey. It's where I want to go. I have an offer but they want me to get really high marks and argh. I think that's why i'm so so stressed.
To put it in perspective there are two things:
1. There are 3 HD television studios in the UK. Two of them belong to the BBC, one of them is on the Bournemouth University campus.
and
2. When new jobs are on offer at the BBC, execs go straight to Bournemouth uni before advertising the jobs elsewhere. One of the post grads from the telly production course (which is what i've got an offer from) is now one of the directors for Top Gear. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | April 30th, 2008 at 09:51am That sounds awesome! And just try and do as well as you can without worrying too much. I know its easier said than done, and a bit of stress is good for you, but you can't do any better than your best. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | I tried to bribe my driving instructor into letting me book ten lessons and paying on the fifth one, as I don't get paid til the end of the month and I am skint this month as I had to pay for my flight to London last month and flight to Sweden this month.. but she wouldn't let me, so its a whole month before I can do any more lessons. |
