 | August 21st, 2009 at 01:02pm S'all about those tinned breakfasts and other gloop like that. Taste and look horrible, but when you're at a festival you can't be too picky.
I think I'll take enough money to feed myself from a food outlet once a day then just live off snacks and them tinned things. |

I'll have a mooch around Morrisons at some point, see if I can find anything useful.
Got a shuttle bus ticket today, for thursday morning.

During the festival, go sit in a field/your garden with a camp chair, a pair of sunnies and wellies, a few cans, a torch, and about half a million cereal bars, and watch the coverage on the bbc.
Then don't wash properly for five days for the optional weekend effect.
Instant Reading/Leeds! Though mostly Reading if you're watching it on telly. Most well known and all that, idk

Does Reading have a milkshake stand?
I'm a bit obsessed with this milkshake stand at Leeds, they have aero milkshakes and such. I think that's what all my money I brought went on tbh.

 | August 25th, 2009 at 06:56am Reading does have a milkshake stand I think, and also I go to Reading which instantly makes it awesome.
Although to be fair my friend who's been to both said he enjoyed Leeds a lot more. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 6362 | August 25th, 2009 at 09:44am Ah, you see despite the fact that I feel my allegiances should lie with the festival from my hometown, if Reading's mikshake stand is as good as that of its Northern counterpart, they must be equally as brilliant.
Is Reading as close to the main city as it looks? I always thought that might be a little distracting.
I shall have to go there instead one year to compare.

 | August 25th, 2009 at 11:15am The Tesco or whatever is about a mile from the main entrance. I don't know if that's the town centre or not.
Just had my last shower for a week. Bring it on. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 6362 | August 25th, 2009 at 11:19am Mm, there's a tesco a couple of miles or so the road from Brahman, but it's otherwise very countryside-y and quiet around the actual area.
It's just on aerial photos I've seen of Reading, the town centre looks really close. They might have just been taken from a funny angle though.
I have made a list of everything I need to take, that's as far as I've got.
I take it you've got an early bird then?

 | August 25th, 2009 at 01:09pm Yep, my coach leaves at 5:45 tomorrow afternoon.
Bought a crate of 24 beers, but one of them split in the car drive home so now I've got 23 in a makeshift box. Just stuck a few old pizza boxes together with sellotape and cling filmed the shit out of it. I hope it holds. |

I went for Lost Prophets instead of Radiohead. Who were awesome.
But Placebo, Spinnerette, t'Arctic Monkeys (though I wished they'd have played
more older stuff. Don't like the new album much) pretty much fecking owned my weekend.
Oh oh The Living End were fab also. |

 | September 1st, 2009 at 12:29pm I thought Arctic Monkeys were awful really disappointed after wanting to see them for so long.
Radiohead, Faith No More, The Prodigy, Anti-Flag, Frank Turner and Municipal Waste were all immense.
Plus FFAF reminded me why I ever liked them - really good set, even if there was 10 minutes of silence when the whole main stage lost power xD |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 6362 | September 1st, 2009 at 01:29pm The Prodigy actually disappointed me a bit, but that might have been because I was so far back.
I wish I'd have gone to see Frank Turner, I'd love to see him. : (
Might see if I can get a ticket for the tour.
But I wanted to see Tim Minchin more.
Did Anti Flag start an epic circle pit like they did last year at Leeds?
