When you say you wanted something 'bigger' what were you expecting, exactly? How in the hell could it be something to do with the new album already, and what else could be bigger than new music? I mean, come on. I'm not a major fan of U2 but it's for a good cause and you can't knock it till you've heard it. I have heard the original of the song they are going to do and it's a good old fashioned punk song. If there's one thing to expect from Green Day, it's to expect the unexpected! |

I've been waiting, longing and yearning and still it hasn't come.
What came was Green Day/U2 news. I was a little sad with that, but think about it.. hey, it's gonna be awesome.
And hey, it's gonna take about a week to record. I'm definitely going to listen to the song. And buy it.
There's 50 more weeks of a year to use
And we don't want anything stressed. We want Green Day. |

Yeah, maybe it's way too early for any new album news, but like it was already mentioned, there's the American Idiot movie {Going too far if you ask me} and there's the next DVD of the making of Amercian Idiot coming out early next year.
....so much other things going on, people are bound to expect something more. But whatever, it's for charity, and it's a good cause so we'll just have to wait and see.
...I think it's kinda silly of people to be going "  OH N0ES!!2``!!!!¬¬¬!!!" before they've heard the song. They might like it.
