Anywho, news about Jack's return to DW, Utopia if anyone's interested (taken from Torchwood: TV). It's long been rumoured that this episode is the one where Captain Jack Harkness returns to the world of Doctor Who. All that's been confirmed as of yet is the fact that it's written by Russell T Davies and is directed by Graeme Harper (who'll you'll remember from 2006's four Cybermen episodes). As of January 2007 filming is currently taking place. It has not been confirmed yet that this is the story where Jack Harkness returns. A few weeks ago, and email landed in my mailbox; from somebody claiming to work for the design team at the BBC. He/she claims to have had access to episode eleven's script (currently titled "Utopia" - and sent me an apparent synopsis for the episode. Be warned, this could just be a random fan's wishlist - but the information seems to add up to pretty much what we knew already: "Martha Jones doesn't understand. A strange man has just turned up slap bang in the middle of the TARDIS - and the Doctor knows him! His name is Jack Harkness, and after formal introductions are over, it's down to business. Jack has an unusual problem; and needs the Doctor's help. Arriving on a far flung alien planet called Malcassairo - a world which brands itself a utopian society - the Doctor and Martha must find a way (by any means possible) to find a solution to Jack's rather unique problem. Or else." Why on Earth the BBC would produce a synopsis like this so far away from transmission is anybody's guess. As the episode starts filming in a couple of weeks, expect an official confirmation either way if John Barrowman does indeed return at this point in the season. Another rumour I've heard is that Jack appears at the closing seconds of "Utopia" - leading into a full appearence in the next adventure, the currently untitled third season finale.
