that's a really problem!, i mean, i know like 3 couples where one of them is the controller of the whole relationship, and they're like: can i go to see my friends? no, you can't, can i do? and stuff, and think that's so wrong, i mean a couple/relationships are 2 persons, not one!, but at the same time is the other person fault, because he/she let him/her, so what do u think?

A relationship is about respecting the other half so. But sometimes you can't do anything to stop them, like, if it's an abusive relationship, people are just scared.

If I'm reading this right...my brother and sister in law are a good example.

theyre both 23 years old and have been married for a year and a half. They alsohave a baby.

My brother isnt aloud to come visit us. Hes not aloud to have friends over or visit friends. Hes not aloud to go out and play hockey with his friends on Saturday afternoons. (hockey is my brothers life). Every waking moment thats hes not at work (hes has two jobs, and is about to go into the air force) He has to spend with the baby.

However, his wife can do whatever she likes. Once a month, they drive cross state to see her family. She also set rules about who can and cant see the baby. My mom can see the baby, anyone in her family can see him, I'm not aloud to see him. i've seen him maybe 5 or 6 times in 6 months. Most of my family has not seen him.

I think its quite sad. whever I do get to see my brother, he is completly miserable. I highly doubt that they'll stay married...I hope they dont.

In any type of relationship you will have a dominant subject. Because it is against are nature to see eachother as equals

knowing this, building a relationship is about trust and respect. taking another persons view onboard instead of just your own. It is pointless to say you won't change because being in the presence of someone with differentvies and opinions will have an effect on you, for the most part it will make you a better person.

Doing what you want to do without discussing it with your partner, i find disrespectful.

I'm sorry Steph, but I think if I see one more person talking about 'our nature' i'm going to hurt myself. lmfao
I think I might just make a topic on it later.
