Think and feel like a normal human?

no they think and feel like objects and that's that.
Also how is it rude? They need to expect getting called that since they do get implants.

I seriously don't know how you can think that AREN'T objects.
Guys like big tits they get implants to fit and meet there desires, therefore they are objects, or do you not know what an object is?

Really? Have you gotten a boob job? Do you know how they think and feel? Oh wait, thats right you haven't and you have absolutely no right to claim that you do. The fact that you have to use "and that's that" to support your opinion is a pretty good indicator that it isn't very valid. There isn't any need to be narrow minded, and you can't justify your arguement by saying "that's that". Saying that just shows that you don't have any way to support what you're saying..

And no, they shouldn't except ignorant, degrading comments like the ones you're making. Thats abusive and illegal, and you don't have the right to say those things. Its discriminating. It kind of scares me that you think its ok to talk about humans, other people, like that.

My friend's mother got a boob job. She's not an object. For one, object's can't love, and she does. Also, objects don't buy me cool presents for no reason. She's an awesome human being who wants to look more beautiful and spends a lot of money, and time, doing so. (Two weeks ago, I went to the hair salon with her from about 11:00 AM till 6:00 PM! She was getting a special perm. I only took twenty mintues! Cheese )

Anyway, my point is that if you think that breast implants are horrible things and that the people 'deserve to have them explode' then the same should be said for hair extensions, fake nails, a fake tan, plastic surgery, make up, and pretty much anything else that goes towards making some look nice.

ignorance is bliss.:
I'm sure certain types of porn, maybe way back a century or so ago, of paintings of girls naked was beautiful because it captured them being normal and simple, not spreading their legs apart just to show their vagina....I think the paintings of naked people is beautiful, not the stuff w/ people fucking each other, or posing in some sexual position.
Kurtni:
You aren't the only girl with those issues, but it doesn't make them valid points. What I don't get is why you're calling nude paintings from 100 + years ago porn O_O Porn is a deragatory term, refering to obscene things.
Just to draw a comparison, pornography a hundred years ago was just as riske as it is today. What has become acceptable has changed, that it all. In art, we were shown a pornographic picture from the 1800's of a girl on a swing, showing her ankles and her petticoat to a guy. It sounds nice and simplistic and not at all sexually explicit, but it used to make old ladies faint and guys get that feeling in their 'special place'. If you don't like that standards for decency have slipped, then stop watching porn. It's really that simple, especially considering that porn doesn't go looking for people, people usually go looking for it.

People who get plastic surgery are NOT objects. That's incredibly offensive. A friend of mine was badly burned in a house fire, and he was lucky that plastic surgeons could help reconstruct the burned parts of his face. Does that make him an object? No.

Plastic surgery/breast implants/penile enchancement does not in any situation equal object.

I've had plastic surgery, am I an object?

People who are in car crashes, or have horrible bites from animals, or suffer severe burns get plastic surgery, are they objects?

Never make a generalisation like that and also, never, ever call another human being an object.

I'm not talking about the people who get plastic surgery cause they burns victims.

I'm talking about the porno stars and whatnot that get breast implants. I'm calling them objects because they ARE.

Duh go back through what I saying because you don't know.
This is the porno thread aka the objects thread not the burns victims thread.

What, exactly, makes a person an object just because they get breast implants?

I can't even see the relation between breast implants/porno stars and objects.
They get breast implants and wanna feel prettier, does that mean they're object? No.
You put makeup on, you get haircut, you buy cool clothes, to feel prettier, does that make you an object? No.

And how can a porno star be an object? I don't get it Confused
You know, Daniel Radcliffe isn't a wizard in reality Rolling Eyes
What you see in the movies doesn't mean it's the reality: the person is an actor/actress. They act. And they're not, in real, what they're in the movies.

I know putting on make up doesn't make you an object, because you aren't doing that to meet someone elses desires and needs.
Btw what the hell does harry potter have to do with all of this? Laughing
No wonder you people aren't getting it when I say that they're objects...

If a boob job was for their own desires, to highten self confidence, or for their own needs, to get a job in the porn industry, for example, then does that make them and object, in your eyes, because it's essentially for themselves?

But they do do it for the men, because that's where most of it comes from them wanting to get a boob job.
That's why i'm saying that they're objects and i'm not going to think of them as anything else, no matter how much you insult me for thinking that.

I'm not insulting you.

So if you met a woman and talked with her, had a coffee and spent a wonderful afternoon together, then turned found out that she had had a boob job and was a porn star, is she an object?

People have lives outside the movie screen, or the internet, or the television, these women have families and friends and I would highly doubt that any of them would consider her to be an object.

They don't have to 'do it for the men'; more likely they do it for the money to be honest. Glamour modelling and pornography must pay a bit, if you've got the looks and the figure. Some prostitutes say that their time selling their bodies cheapened sex and made it impossible to trust that men wanted anything other than wham bam thank you ma'm. Doing porn to some extent might be like that. So you can't write off all women who have boob jobs as 'wanting it for the men'. Anorexics have boobs jobs to feel better about themselves and aid their recovery; if they then are finally able to look in the mirror and see someone other than a hideous wretch, and thus want to flaunt it a bit, then good for them I think.

I think that some people get breat implants because it increases their self esteem. I don't agree with that reasoning because it sends a negative image and voice to young girls. I do beleive that women who are in pornography realise what they do and are onlyy doing so because it increases their chances of getting jobs and it makes them more appealing. I do think that if someone needs help feeling better that they culd do this, but it isn't a replacement for self esteem growth in a positive way. This does NOT make a woman an object it only makes her what she beleive it does. You have no right to judge someone on whether or not their breasts are real. I'm sure there are some women who have had breat enlargement surgery who are smart, strong, and independent.

Remember. When you assume, you make an ASS out of U and Me Cool.

Sweetheart, how do you know any of this? Honestly, you obviously haven't gotten a boob job, so you don't know why they do it. You're generalizing. Like Cecilia said, girls wear make up because they want to appear prettier to men, are you calling them objects too? And no one was insulting you, us stating our opinions isn't insulting. This is a debate forum, although you aren't debating at all. You're just saying Im not going to think any other way and that's that as if your opinion is the only thing in this entire world that's valid. No, its not. You aren't even replying to the points people are making. You're just making the same degrading remarks over and over again.
