From Wikipedia:
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band, formed in 1968.Led Zeppelin consisted of four men: Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (lead vocals, harmonica), John Bonham (drums), and John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards and mandolin).
The rest of the band disbanded in 1980 after John Bonham's death, stating that they couldn't continue with their irreplaceable drummer. Since then they have
reunited and done several shows together.

I like many of their songs, but my favourite song is Dancing Days. I have a file of them doing it live...one of the few times they ever did. |

Apparently that song influenced van halen's finger tapping. |

Yeah it's hard to put your finger on the best one from that album - they're all brilliant to be excruciatingly honest. I think most of Page's solos are best improvised... I just don't generally learn Zeppelin songs because I feel they're more special when you leave them in the original context. People shouldn't cover Zeppelin - its just wrong. |

 | January 8th, 2007 at 09:20am I love 'The Immigrant Song'
And for some strange reason 'Ramble on' is great.
And i have no idea why Top of the Pops used the riff for 'Whole lotta Love' as the title song for so many years, but i suppose you can't blame them with it being awesome and all.
'Stairway' is great but i got somewhat freaked out what with hearing the whole 'play it backwards and it's a satanic tribute to the devil and all things evil' conspiricy before i actually heard the song. I still can't listen to it alone at night.
But what got me into teh Zeppelin? Why, the movie 'School of Rock', of course. |

Ramble On is a great song. Loads of people consider it their best, actually. I love the Lord of the Rings references - so blatant and geekish but still brilliant XD And about the satanic thing with Stairway... - don't read too much into it. It's just a myth. You hear those words because you're told that's what it says; whatsmore they didn't actually mean it.
I also love that movie, by the way. Great soundtrack. |
