Something came to me last night, and it was about Snape being the Potions Master. It was said numerous times during the book that Lily was excellent at potions, do you think that the reason hat Dumbledore never gave Snape the Defence Against the Dark Arts job was to keep reminding Snape of what had to be done? Making him be reminded of Lily constantly so he always kept up a hatred of Voldemort....
Maybe I have just read far too much into it XD |

I also think Dumbledore didn't allow him the DADA job because he didn't want him to leave after one year. He wanted to keep a watchful eye on him in Hogwarts. |

 | July 23rd, 2007 at 01:32pm I think it was because Dumbledore being aware of the ~jinx~ on the job that Voldemort had placed on it. And, you know, he would have wanted to keep Snape close, and not risk him by giving him a jinxed job. |
