 | September 19th, 2007 at 05:55pm Because my version of sympathy/empathy is pretty damn strange and how can you not feel sorry for anyone who has to spend eternity as...that? |

He was incredibly evil and nasty. After all he did it to himself, it was coming to him. |

 | September 21st, 2007 at 09:01pm I think I could feel sorry for him, even if it was only a little bit. After all, he was the same as Harry, right? A boy with no-one to love him, a boy who didn't know that he was a wizard?
idk |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | September 22nd, 2007 at 02:24pm Well not really, because he grew up in a household that showed no love to him whatsoever, as did Tom, it's not that different. Especially as Harry's parents died before he really remembered them. It's different if someone dies and you've known them for quite a while and remember little acts of love, but when you have no memory of that, you assume they love you, but you don't remember the feeling of being loved. I'm sure that Merope would have loved Tom, had she survived, but she didn't. |

Had her circumstances been different, I'm sure she would have fought for her life, but she only had a life of poverty to go back to, and if she wanted to see her son, she'd have to bring him up like that as well. Either that or dump him in an orphanage and forget all about him.
She chose the easy way out, which I shan't give her credit for, but I don't think it's right to say she died because she didn't love her son. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1988 | October 3rd, 2007 at 10:19pm I thought the ending...frankly...was HORRIBLE. I mean, this is morbid, but HARRY SURVIVED!!! (sorry for all the caps) I think the only reason J.K. even let him live is because if he died, she'd get so much hate mail it wouldn't even be funny...
Well, I'm just happy Hermione didn't die...that's all I was worried about. |

 | October 7th, 2007 at 06:41am I only feel sorry that Voldermort ended up without the ability to love, I don't feel sorry for him though because it was his choice to do the things he did. Though,m there are implications that it was all destiny, in which case, I would feel sorry, mostly because I do not believe in destiny, but just because it really isn't fair, as well. |

You know what'd be cool? And extremely sad? If Voldemort somehow discovered love but got killed anyway.
O_O random thought. |
