 | July 21st, 2007 at 08:25pm Ok. So I just finished. Took me about 9 hours, with breaks.
I cried at several points throughout the book and I have to say it was beautiful. Every last bit of it. It didn't disappoint in the slightest and it was more than worth nine years of waiting.
I'm not really gonna go into details, but I just have to say
"One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew"
Yeah. The most beautiful way to end the series, I think. That's about all I have to say on the matter. |

The first tears I properly shed were for Dobby. SO brave.
And I fell in love with Kreacher.
And Dudley. - Why the fuck didn't we find out what he saw when he was attacked by the dementor?
And I can't believe George, waking up and saying he felt saintly, and Fred translated.
I properly cried for Fred, and Lupin and Tonks.
And when Harry said to Lily "Stay close to me" I was just a wreck. OMG.
I got through one whole bar of chocolate, I stopped eating it after a while. I'm gonna start reading all over again in a minute, so I'll probably get through the other one. |

Oh and can I just say Neville PWNED.
D'you think it'd be out of order to make a new ava and have a picture of Neville and put 'hero' on it? I dunno, someone tell me if it gives too much away, cos it's hard to tell in my euphoric state. |

I was going mental though, last time my book came at about half seven, this time it came just after twelve, and I finished it at about half nine, I think. Didn't know why but I was going slow and drinking it all in. I enjoyed it though, really and truly. |

I didn't Cry, but they were the ones that made me the saddest. And Fred, too. And when Dobby died I was all "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO DOBBY".
I seriously thought the twins were going to pull through! After George's ear got cut off, I figured nothing else could happen to them.
I was giggling for ages at his reaction to it.
I kind of figured Lupin would die. He deserved to go and be with his friends at last.
Oh, and I seriously thought Hagrid would die! I'm glad he's alive.
But Fred wasn't supposed to die ;_; |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | July 22nd, 2007 at 03:57am Well...not really, seeing as Harry's alive and well, and even when he did 'die' Dumbledore said "It appears you have not" or something like that, so he never actually died, just the piece of Voldemort inside him did. |

 | July 22nd, 2007 at 10:00am McGonagall is awesome!
OMG! I laughed so hard at the Potter radio channel (forget what it's called and my sister refuses to let me just check out the name again) and their Snape joke wih the shampoo. That only make Fred's death more depressing, however.
Dobby, Fred, Tonks, Lupin left me devastated. George almost gave me a heart attack. I was also very sed, reading Dumbledore's obituary.
I was disappointed we didn't find out about Dudley's worst moment ever, as well.
Also, about how Harry has his mother's eyes, it wasn't howI think most people though that it was something to do with a universal plot between Lily Potter and the magical world, more a personal thing between two characters.
I swear if you listen hard enough, you can hear all the Snape/Lily, Ron/Hermione shippers cheering. And Snape is good! That made me feel so bad for him.
Seriously, why Fred? I think that she felt that there was already one joker in the family and they were twins so one of them was disposable. But that's just a horrid thing to think of. I feel so bad for Ted.
To be honest however, I thought that the whole epiloge thing was a tad unessecary except for like the last four lines or so.
I like the Malfoys. |
