This sounds like a fair and logical assessment of what has been happen.

I would just like to add my friend played mcr for her baby cousin and she smiled! But really, I don't think it has anything to do with the music they listen to, unless they use it as a form of depression. I don't think it is right to kill yourself. Not at that age anyway.

I lot of emos these day class themselves as emo, like they put pictures online with them and their hand up with ''I'm emo'' or something that says they're emo. But then when people say ''You're an emo'' they're like ''Don't label me.''
That kinda confuses me, y'know? I get they don't like being labelled, but if people label themselves then get annoyed when people call them what they labelled themselves. It's a confusing time to be in the world

who the hell is still emo? i don't think it's trending anymore
I suspect you could replace the term 'emo' with pretty much any other genre-specific label and this thread's depth of profundity or outcome wouldn't be much different.

It actually started out as a debate reguarding the Daily Mail's article on a teenage girl who hung herself.
The last few pages have just turned into pointing fingers and blantant labelling.

I don't consider myself Emo anymore now that I see people who dress the same way as I do and they are far from Emo. They are amazing people who need more attention than they get.
