side fringe, check. one lip piercing, half check.
damn half way there!
no.
Era, you know what, this whole stereotype about looks is ridiculous.
I've seen tonnes of people walking around with their lip pierced, and these people fall under many different stereotypes.
Judging from your pic, the side fringe is lovely on you!

by looks you could class me as emo (although blonde hair now instead of black) my other lip piercing isnt there ( got infected) i do wear some blacks and stuff.. so sure maybe i look emo, probably more "scene"
but when you find out i listen to the jonas brothers in my spare time.. im sure the "emo" thought will go away *nods*
I don't really *get* the whole emo thing. I don't know, whenever I think about emo people, I envision them as old people, flipping through the scrapbook with their grandchildren, like "Grammy? Dat was you?" and she just kinda closes the book like "Uhm, how about we make some oatmeal cookies?"
Now when I think of 'emo' I automatically think of black hair with purple highlights, razor blade in hand, and a dark little corner. But I don't honestly know anyone like that. I mean sure you have your typical 'scene kids' but I really don't know anyone who meets my 'emo kid' standards
To be honest I think the newspapers and the family just wanted something to blame for the death of their daughter, her suicide could have been over anything and I don't see how Green Day can even be blamed of promoting suicide |:. Things like this are ridiculous, emo kids need to grow up in my opinion and realise that life ain't so bad.
Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights, or any other 'Emo' band can promote suicide, unless that person was thinking about suicide while they were listening to a certain band that could be 'Emo'. It's not the music, it's the person.

omg, thank you so much. That is my point exactly. And I haven't seen any cases in which someone's blamed Green Day for it? I know about other bands but not Green Day. And there are kids who have been raped, kids who don't have families and kids with no food, I'm sure their lives are fine
[quote="Sylar"]I'd hang myself if I listened to My Chemical Romance
no but in all seriousness
1. Green Day is not an emo band
2. The parents should absolutly not blame the music.
parents tends to do this because they dont want to face that they're bad parents.
