Well, I'm not well-versed enough in music to have a sizable amount of bands that I love to the point where I'm disappointed that one or more of the band members is dead. Nonetheless, I would definitely bring back Freddie Mercury. Queen are nothing less than incredible, plain and simple, and it bums me out to this day that he's gone. Though I wasn't there when he actually died...it must be even harder for Queen fans who remember it. Then there's Joe Strummer, who I'd bring back if I could. And of course Jimi Hendrix...it seems to me that he had it coming, what with the massive amount of drugs that he was abusing at the time, but I agree with everyone else on the planet that he is among the very best at what he did. I heard that before he died, he was going to join Emerson, Lake, and Palmer--a brilliant prog-rock group--and they were actually planning to call themselves HELP, for Hendrix, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. With Jimi's guitar prowess thrown into the mix, the already-amazing ELP would have been rendered virtually invincible. THAT I would have liked to see. But yeah, I don't have a big list of rockers I'd like to bring back to life or anything. Neat idea, though. |
