| July 22nd, 2008 at 10:07am Strummer, definately taken too early.
Actually, there have been quite a few deaths this year I'd like to undo, but in all honesty, I think some are better left untouched. Mostly suicides, like Ian Curtis. I think there's something of a legacy that should be left. |

I would've thought John Lennon would win this no problem? Freddie Mercury is in forth place, Hendrix is in fifth and Kurt Cobain in sixth. |

Joe Strummer - goes unsaid for me. I'd want the gig to be a Clash reunion though.
Amen, sister. I'd go with Joe too, if I could only choose one. Guys like Brad Nowell, Kurt Cobain - it'd be interesting to have them back, but I dunno - it would be so strange to have Nirvana around today, getting old, possibly making ill-advised acoustic records, fading away and turning out just like any other semi-talented 90s band. It wouldn't be right somehow...but as usual, I'm offtopic. |

I don't think Nirvana would've gotten bigger if they stayed around, they probably would've just faded away... or Courtney Love would've destroyed them. Anyway, without the death of Kurt, there would be no Foos. |

TRUE FACT. And if there were no Foos, my life would be sad. |

(In no particular order.)
Joe Strummer of The Clash, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Keith Moon of The Who, Jim Morrison of The Doors, John Entwistle of The Who, John Lennon of The Beatles, George Harrison of The Beatles, Joey Ramone of The Ramones, Johnny Ramone of The Ramones, Dee Dee Ramone of The Ramones, Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, and there's probably more but I can't think of them right now. |
