I think that sexting is stupid. Not that I havent sent a picture like that to anyone before cuz I have. lol. But still the consequences they chose for it is stupid like if a 12 year old takes a picture of her tits and then sends it to her 13 year old boyfriend or whatever and they get caught and the guy gets charged with child pornography when hes a child himself and vise versa. its dumb. they should just get a slap on the wrist not something that serious

I think people are better off taking naked pictures of themselves than having sex. There's more risks with actual sex. I'd rather have a topless picture follow me around forever than have a kid at 18.

The major problem I see with this is that people are just seeking punishments, nobody is bothering with why it's happening or what can be done to help. Slapping somebody with a lawsuit for receiving a picture message isn't going to stop people from taking pornographic pictures of themselves.

Exactly. It's sad that underage kids are doing this to begin with, but nobody is thinking about why it's happening. It's going to keep happening until the parents or whoever figures it out.

I do agree that having a topless picture follow you around is better than having a child at 18 but, I think that things like this just lead kids to experiment more and more with their sexuality. This isn't a bad thing, but I think it is when the kids are 12 and 13.

if you're a young kid (I don't know what ages it ranges, I'll say 15 and younger..) and sending NAKED pictures of yourself to.. a guy you like. Well, that's asking for all kinds of trouble. If you're closer to an adult (18 and up, I guess) then GO OUT AND HAVE SEX OR SOMETHING, I don't see why you'd need to be doing that stupid shit when you can just as easily just.. hook up, and not act like an immature idiot

i think that as long as both parties consent and are of age, it's fine. it really just depends on the situation. but, i don't think that a young girl who sends nudie pics/vids of herself to her boyfriend has very much sense or self respect *cough* carrie prejean.

if both parties involved are over 18, in the united states there would be no reason to list the picture taker or the picture viewer as perv. it's called pornography. i don't think it's okay or right but i don't really think the government should be worrying about what goes on between two consenting adults.

The school taught us that it's sex offerned ranking no matter what age...

Like, if I'm over the age of consent (14 in Alberta if your partner is 14-16, 16 if they're 14-18 and 18 is just an adult) and I feel like sending pics to my boyfriend, or send like, sexual messages, then it's my fault if anything stupid happens with them like they get onto the internet or something. if it's a 10 year old girl sending them to a 50 year old man or something, that's gross and probably deserving punishment.

I guess peer pressure has a lot to do with it.
I mean I don't know anyone around my age ground to have done it, and sometimes they get tempted cause guys just ask. I don't understand why a lot of girls sell themselves out like that sometimes.
