Did I say they were? I merely said they were more likely to be affected.

Where's your source?
Seriously. A credible one. I want links with authors that have some credibilty as scientists, doctors specialists. Statistics.

I would not back your evidence up with a fictional novel mein freund...it kinda casts doubt on your ability to look up, you know, facts. See the sticky if you're having trouble with this.

PanicOfBeliever:
The children i refer to as in special ed, are people with autism, etc. Because they see life in a different way to the norm they are more likly to be affected by such things.

For example in the Book "The curious incident of the dog in the night-time" where the child could not cope with the advertisments, and was liable to being violent. That sort of child is more likely to be affected.

And this time I will as suggested not respond to the Churlish insults.

Peace out.

Kids with Autism.

Oh, how great it is to write them all off as dangerous, psychopathic, incapable-of-thinking human beings.

No. I personally know a boy with Asperger's Syndrome. Mathematically, he is nothing short of genius. Treat each case as an individual. Just because one book portrays one kid this way, doesn't mean they all are.

one fictional book may i add. next he'll be quoting 'Lord of the flies'

You have my word that I will excercise the greatest deal of self control I find myself capable of.
There is no sanctity here without that rule.

No one is above the rules here, a lesson well learned by some of us, I'm sure. This being a mature and tolerant place, it is best to merely refute the argument (obviously). Greatly reduces the number of guilty parties. Very Happy

i think that violence should be after a certain time of the day and in fact for the most part it is (10:00) but i also do not like cencorship why is it that a group of poeple can sit in a room and decide what or what not i can watch? I am surley old enough to make that decision for myself.

You turn on The keranng channel and it it suppose to be uncut but every other word is bleeped oyt and that is after 12 at night.

now, these days violence verbal/physical and sex, is in every single program, i think it's because that's wat pays our attention, but i mean there's nothing "good" on tv, unless you are watching the church, which no one does, yesterday, ly little cousin of 3 years was talking to her friend that is also like 3 and they were talking about how ppl have sex, and i was like, "do u want cookies? i love cookies.." and stuff...

Its up to parents what they expose their kids to, or it should be. as has been said, there are a lot of ads with naked or semi naked women and men (women especially) yet they banned a marmite advert coz it might scare little kids. the ad consisted of a large blob of marmite rolling down the street, some people running some jumping happily into it. im sorry but whats more likely to be a bad influence, a naked woman on the tv, or a large blob of condiment?

Naked woman? Jesus christ, naked woman isn't probably gonna scare the shit out of anyone and it's not that violent really.
