Being The New Kid Doesn't Always Suck, chapter 21
(Its now 2000, I know time goes by fast)
Amanda and Tre's relationship lasted about four months or so. The only reason they broke up was because Tre was never home, Amanda barely saw Tre. Maybe a few weeks a month if she was lucky. Once again another relationship ruined by being in a famous band. You ask about Claudia? Well they are now happily married together. So many relationships so little time. Adrienne and Billie had a wonderful boy, they named him Jakob Danger Armstrong, and this is now their second child together. Corrie is no longer friends with her childhood friends, after all they've been through, their no longer friends. They have been talking to Casey a bit now. She's coming down for Christmas. Which reminds me, Christmas is in 2 weeks
"Billie, can you please take the kids to your moms we need to go buy their presents" Adrienne said to Billie. Billie didn't answer.
"Billie!" Adrienne said snapping him out of his daydream.
"OH! Yeah?" Billie said.
"Please take the boys to your moms now." Adrienne said.
"Oh yeah, sure" Billie said getting up, he walked over to the stairs and called his to sons. They came running down the stairs like animals.
"Bye hunny, I'll be back soon" Billie said giving his wife a hug.
"Okay bye" Adrienne said returning the hug. Billie had to help them buckle their seatbelts up. The kids were being really noisy and annoying; they kept yelling, screaming and hitting each other.
"Boys! Stop fighting or Santa wont come" Billie said. Jakob and Joey shut up right away. Billie had a satisfied smile on. He finally drove up to his mom's house. He walked them up to the door, said hi to his mom and left. He got back home about 45 minutes later.
"What took you so long?" Adrienne asked when he walked through the door
"Traffic" Billie said going into the kitchen and getting something to drink.
"Are you ready to go?" Adrienne asked
"Yup" Billie said. Adrienne grabbed her coat and walked out the door. It was all quiet. You'd never think a married couple wouldn't be able to start a conversation and be shy about it. Billie coughed purposely
"It's going to be a long day hey?" Billie said breaking the ice. Adrienne turned Billie's way
"Oh, yeah I know" Adrienne said
"What are we even going to get them?" Billie said
"What they asked for" Adrienne said with a smile. Billie slightly smiled and let out a small laugh and went back to driving. They arrived at the mall, fuck it was packed full of people. When they entered the mall, all eyes were on Billie. He grabbed Adrienne's hand, rolled his eyes and walked into the toy store. They spent a good two hours in that hell hole. They got some of their kids' presents. Now its time to look for family gifts. They were there since 3pm- to closing time. Billie called his mom and asked if they could spend the night because they didn't want to come pick up those two monsters.
"Hey Adie, you have to find somewhere where you can put those toys" Billie said
"Yeah I know but I don't know where...what about your guitar room?" Adrienne asked.
"Good idea, but they go in there sometimes" Billie said
"Hm..what about the recording studio?" Adrienne said. Billie stood and thought for a bit.
"Yeah! We can!" Billie said. Adrienne grabbed the bags and went into the studio; Billie stayed upstairs and phoned Tre. He didn't answer so he just left a message.
"Hey Tre, it's me Billie, I just phoned to see what was up...and yeah call me when you get in" Billie said and hung up. He went downstairs where Adrienne was. He sat down on one of the chairs and put his feet up.
"Tre isn't home again, probably out with Claudia again.." Billie said
"Mmm probably" Adrienne said caught up with what she was doing. She turned around and puffed, putting some of her hair behind her ears.
"I think me and the boys are putting the tree up tomorrow, you wanna join?" Adrienne asked with her hands on her hips.
"Uhh I don't think I'm doing something, so yeah sure" Billie said
"Okay good, what do you want to eat?" Adrienne said smiling.
"Nothing too much, I'm full cause of all that candy I ate" Billie said. Adrienne laughed
"You have to eat something" Adrienne said
"Yeah, I guess I'll have something, like a sandwich or something" Billie said
"Okay" Adrienne said walking upstairs. Billie followed. They sat in front of their tv eating their sandwiches. The next morning Billie woke up early and called Tre. He finally got a hold of him. That same day Billie, Adrienne, Joey and Jakob put up their Christmas tree. Billie put the star on the tree.
"Hun, the tree looks amazing" Adrienne said smiling.
"I know I'm glad we did this as a family" Billie said putting his arm around her waist.
"Now all we need are presents" Jakob said. Everyone laughed
"Ohh Jakob you'll just have to wait till Christmas!" Billie said picking up his son and started tickling him. Adrienne got out the vacuum and vacuumed all the tree needles up.
"That reminds me" Billie said "I'm going to be going out on Christmas Eve for a bit" Billie said
"Oh..Okay, well how long?" Adrienne asked
"Not too long" Billie said
"Okay.." Adrienne said putting away the vacuum.

It was now Christmas Eve morning. Adrienne got up early to start making some of the food. Candy yams, dips etc.
"Hey Adie, I'm going to get going now" Billie said coming downstairs with a bag.
"Do you have to go?" Adrienne said
"Yeah" Billie said
"But why, can't you stay home and spend Christmas Eve with your family" Adrienne said
"Adrienne please, you're making me feel guiltier about going out on Christmas Eve" Billie said
"Well I don't want you to leave" Adrienne said
"Adie, I have to" Billie said
"Where are you going that's more important than your family?" Adrienne asked.
"Adrienne, hunny," Billie said putting a hand on her cheek "I wont be long, I just have to go out for a bit" Billie said
"But.." Adrienne said
"I'll be back soon" Billie said walking out the door. Billie felt horrible for what he was about to do, especially on Christmas Eve.
