Stupid Billie, chapter 3
Veronica and Thea steered them into room 114. Mr. Carr, their homeroom teacher, asked "Are these your fathers?"
Thea glanced at Veronica, then roughly grabbed Mr. Carr and Tre both by the collars and pulled them an inch apart. "Do I look like this drunken bastard?"
"Hey!...no...she's right...I am a drunken bastard..."
She let go and sat down calmly. "He's Frank Wright, new student."
"Oh...I see." Mr. Carr said, still shaky from being overpowered by a girl that was 5 2". "And this is...Mike?" He asked Veronica.
"Yes."
Meanwhile, in Caitlin and Sami's homeroom, a similar scene had just occurred. Now Bam was complaining about his seat. "Why can't I sit by the window? Why? Why?"
"This is only homeroom..." The teacher said impatiently. "You'll sit somewhere else later."
Bam shut up and sulked in the corner, ignoring the many girls stating at him, and admiring his hot body.
Billie was asking Caitlin tons of questions. "Do we have to do our homework? How much do we get? How many classes do we have? How long is lunch? Can I bring a cellphone? (He might need to call Adrienne) Do we get a free period?"
"Yes, too much, 7 periods, too short, no, no." She said laughing. "You have a lot of questions for someone who already went through middle school. What are you doing here anyway?"
He hung his head. "I forgot everything..."
"Everything?" Sami walked up. "Haha, you're a dumbass."
"Shut the fuck up," he whined, repeating what he said to Tre. Sami just continued to laugh.
"It's okay Billie." Caitlin tried to comfort him. "Even if youre stupid, you still have incredible singing talent."
He just glared at her. "I'm not stupid."
"Yes you are!" Sami said through giggle fits. "Stupid Billie!"
"Shut up!"
"No you shut up!" Bam shouted across the room. "We're not going to hear the bell ring!"
RING! There was the first bell. Off to A period.
"We have math," Thea told Tre. "I despise math..."
"Me too!" He agreed. "Can't we just skip?"
"Some people here want to graduate." She responded. "Veronica and Mike are leaving us for Spanish. Bye Veronica." She gave a false look of misery. "I wont see you until lunch today since we don't have health."
"When's lunch?" Tre asked.
"After E period." Veronica moaned.
"What? We'll starve!" Mike exclaimed.
"Live with it." Thea said. "We gotta go." She dragged Tre up a flight of stairs to room 213, where she sat him down next to her in one of those desks that are attached to the chairs. He immediately took two pencils and started drumming on the desk. He watched as other students entered, and was amused by their reaction to seeing him. One boy actually pinched himself.
Tre was oblivious to the fact that he was making a racket. Too much a racket for Thea apparently. She grabbed one of the pencils and stabbed his shoulder with it. "It's too early for this!"
He laughed, but he also stopped drumming. Pencil points hurt!
