When Billie Crashed His Car, chapter 2

Ok, to say the truth I was almost dying there. But my emotion was suddenly turned off when a group of girls pushed us away and were shouting 'Oh my gosh! Green Day is here!' or 'give me a fucking autograph!'
Rapidly the teachers and professors (we have the costume to call teachers to women and professors to men) hurried us inside the school again. And as always, the classes were restored. I was feeling so down because I had my opportunity to meet them and I wasted it. Shit!
Even one of my best friends, Lesley, offered me some of her food at our second recess but I didn't accepted. My
friends then noticed how down I was!
Well, school had finally finished that Friday. I was about to cross the street (Billie's crashed car was removed by that time) to the other side where is a park and my dad waits for me but then I saw a piece of paper on the floor. It had written a number and above it had a name. It read 'Billie Joe'.
Of course I took it trying to act naturally. I passed the wide street, my emotion to read the paper invading me so much. My little brother was hearing my American Idiot cd on the car again but it didn't even bother me. I tried to control my hands to not to read the fucking paper. We got home and I went to my room like a spark.
I read the paper and learned the number.
I thought that it was Billie's cell phone maybe.

***

Lesley invited us to her house. Of course I arrived with the mysterious paper on my hand and my cell phone on the other. Emily, one of my friends, arrived then too and looked at me suspiciously.
"Hey, Melanie, for what's that note?" she asked vaguely.
I smiled softly barely containing my emotion. "You'll see, you'll see."

We rang the bell together and Lesley opened the door slowly and let us inside. We greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and we got outside to her patio. It has an old tree house, three chairs and a table, an elastic bed, a little place to prepare some food and a small hidden room. Just fantastic, hehe.
"So, you know if Cristina is coming?" wondered Lesley looking at the cloudless sky.
Emily, in the other hand, looked to the floor. "Maybe. Dunno." The bell rang and there she was. Cristina.
We walked toward the stereo and Lesley asked, "Hey, what cd do you brought, huh?"
"None."
"Same as Emily."
"1039/ Smoothed out Slappy Hours."
"Aww Melanie! Stop bringing Green Day cds! I just can stand them no more!" Emily cried.
I just stood there. Everyone knew that I am a Green Day fan! "Just this time, please!" And ta-daa! They placed the cd. We sat down in silence for a minute. Cristina relaxed on her chair as Emily played with the grass down her; they were searching for a topic to start talking.
Cristina chose a topic. "Hey, remember the accident? Wow! It was so incredible!"
"Yeah, and did you saw the three guys there?" I said looking at them shiftily. Everyone had the doubt of what the heck I was talking of. "They were Green Day! And I couldn't meet them! I have a giant deception! Awww!"
"Really?!" the three shouted at the same time standing up.
"But look what I found some time later." I showed them the piece of paper and they widened their eyes. "Look? I think this is Billie Joe's cell!"
Emily turned her head nervously to all sides while she settled down again. "And what are you gonna do, huh?"
"Of course call him!"

When Billie Crashed His Car

"No way!" Lesley screamed suddenly standing up faster than last time.
"Yes sir! I even brought my own cell phone. So, here we go... " I replied obediently.
The three girls were looking at me so strange. I started to mark the number at my cell and then calling. I was sweating as my friends were also nervous. Then the call was responded by a male voice.
"Hi."
Ok, I immediately recognized Mike's voice. But what the heck was doing Mike responding Billie's phone?!
"H-hi! M-my nam-me i-is Mel-anie." These were the only words my mouth could throw that very instant.
Mike waited no second to reply. "Another fan, huh? Ok, sorry but Billie isn't here. He is- umm- well I don't know but he'll come back."
I was not nervous anymore. I felt more comfortable now. Mike did know how to treat fans so I couldn't act ridiculous. "Uh, ok. But I have some questions. When can I localize Billie Joe? Where are you now? And what the heck are you doing responding Billie's cell phone?"
I heard a soft laugh through the phone. "Ok, I'm gonna respond every question you have. Maybe in an hour or two Billie is gonna be here. I'm gonna tell him to call you, alright? We're at this state- Chihuala or Chihuahua or something like that. You live here, no? And I answered the phone cuz is my job while Billie is away. Hehehe." Ok, I live in Chihuahua that is the biggest state of Mexico. But I preferred not to mention this to Mike.
"Oh thanks Mike! Can I call you Mike?"
"Of course, Mel. Melanie's your name, huh?" he asked curiously.
"Yeah! Oh thanks, thanks! See you later Mike!" I said happily almost yelling.
"Bye then, Melanie."
I finished the call and turned off the cell phone. I stared at it. My friends were staring at me. Shit, I had forgotten they were there. We fell silent for a moment.
Cristina was still staring at me nervously. "Then, how was it?"
"What?"
"The call you stupid!"
"Oh, yeah, yeah, great. Marvelous! I think the best call in my life! I suppose."
"Did Billie Joe answer it?" wondered Emily surprised.
I took a breath. My body was still shaking a little bit. "Well, no. But Mike, the bassist, responded girls! He is gonna tell Billie to call me back!"
"Really?!" Again with their really.
"Yup." I said proudly relaxing on my chair. The last hour was like an eternity until my phone broke in the tone of the Pink Panther. That means I was receiving a call.
"Answer it, Melanie!" Lesley hurried me.
I took it rapidly and responded.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi?"
"Yeah, I'm here."
"Hi! You must be Melanie! I'm Billie Joe from Green Day!"
