You Were An Asshole... And Now You're Gone, chapter 4
The next day I woke up and noticed everybody else was up. Tre noticed I was up and brought me some water and some asprin. "Hey chicken. You finally decided to wake up today, huh?" Tre said as he handed the water and asprin to me and sat down. "Yeah. I just don't feel good. I have a huge head ache and I feel stressed." Then Tre got up walked behind me and started massaging my shoulders. He heard me moaning slightly. Then he stopped and I said, "Hey, that felt good. But I feel better. Thanks." "Anytime. Uh, Ciarra. Can I ask you something?" "Yeah, go ahead. Shoot." "I know I don't have a ring, but, will you marry me? I know you're a little young but you're someone I can live with." "Tre, I'd love to, but--" He then cut me off, "Oh no, not the 'but'. You have a boyfriend, don't you? Well this is just great." "Tre, I don't have a boyfriend. It's just that.. I... I'm moving to Scotland and my mom is gonna make me go to college there so I can't. I'm sorry." "Oh. Ok." Then he got up and walked into the kitchen.
*Tre's POV*
I walked over and sat down next to Billie Joe. "Hey man, what's wrong?" Mike asked as he started to tune his bass. "I asked Ciarra to marry me, but, she turned me down. She said she had to move to Scotland to go to college." Then I started to cry slightly. Then I heard a door slam shut. I then run out the door and see Ciarra running down the hall. "Ciarra! Ciarra! Wait up!" I yelled as I started running after her. She then stopped and turned toward me. She started running back toward me and when she got to me she threw her arms around me and pressed her lips against mine. She let go and said, "Tre, my brother Danny called and said that my mom was just in a wreck. I have to go. But I will tell you, I love you." Then she started walking away. I then said under my breath, "I love you too, I love you too." I then walked back into the room and sat down and then it hit me. I then jumped up and ran up and caught up with Ciarra. "I'm coming with you. Just in case you need anything." "Thanks. I really could use a shoulder to cry on." Then we both started walking off.
*My POV*
When Tre and I got to the hospital where my mom was at, I asked the nurse if we could go see her. We were allowed and so we walked back to her room where we saw Dana, Danny, Shelly and Brandi standing around the bed. I then walked over to her and said in a voice that she could tell i was crying, "Mom, are you ok?" "I'm fine Ciarra. Don't worry." "Mom that's all I can do. This can't happen." Then I ran out the door and when I got to the waiting room I plopped on the couch and started crying. Then Tre walked over to me and I sat up and started crying on his shoulder. "Calm down. It'll be alright. Your mom will be fine." Tre said as he started rubbing my shoulder. Then I said in an upset voice, "I just don't know. I can hardly talk to anyone in my family and she is the main one I can talk to. I just don't know what to do." Then I started crying a little harder. A few minutes later, my brothers and sisters came out and sat down next to us. "You ok sis?" Danny said as he wiped the tear from my eye. "I don't know. I feel like my world is just crashing down right in front of my eyes." "We'll get through this. We just got to stick together."
Then we all went and said goodbye to our mom and went out to get something to eat. And what I told Tre, he was happier than a dog that just bit a mailman in the behind.
*Tre's POV*
