They're Not Always the Good Guys, chapter 2

At Le Viva de Nuit

I arrived at my usual time and Cedric, who was a good friend of mine anyways, let me in right away, as always. I got my usual drink (a Toblerone) from Marty, the barman and got up and did my thing when Chris the DJ played my song. As you may have guessed, I don't just come here every Friday night, I also work here. On Fridays and Saturdays I get up on stage and sing one or two songs. Tonight I'm singing Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows. I got up and sang my song and went back to the bar when everyone was clapping. I always get a rush from performing, it makes me feel alive inside. The best thing is, from the stage you can see everyone in the club, and the guys from last week were here, sitting next to my spot at the bar.

Marty smiled as I sat down, and handed me my another of my usual. "Thanks, hon," I said taking a sip. "Hmm, you always make the best Toblerones in all of California, Marty. You should think about starting your own place."

Marty laughed and said in his gravelly voice. "Not while there's plenty of food on my table, and gorgeous, single girls serenading me every weekend."

"I'm sorry for interrupting," said one of the guys from last week as Marty and I laughed. "But I heard you were single?" The man had red hair, gelled up into a sort of mohawk, and bright blue eyes which roved over my tousled hair, my blue eyes, my low-necked top and my long, tanned legs, under my boho skirt.

"Yes, I am. I'm Xoe, and you are?" I asked as he took my hand in his.

"Tre, Tre Cool," he replied, brushing his soft lips over my small hand.

"Oh my god! Really? I'm a huge fan! I didn't recognise you in this light," I said, trying hard to stay calm. "Is that Billie Joe sitting behind you? And Mike?" Tre smiled with good humour.

"Hey, guys," he called over his shoulder, still holding my hand. "The Songbird is a fan."

"Really?" asked Billie Joe. "Cool, I'm Billie Joe and this is Mike." Tre let go of my hand so I could shake Mike and Billie's.

"Xoe Reinmann," I replied.

"Hey, um, you wanna dance?" asked Tre as a fast, upbeat song came on.

"Sure," I replied. "I'm not very good though," I warned him.

"Don't worry, neither am I," Tre grinned at me, sending a few butterflies fluttering through my stomach. Once we were on the dance floor Tre was dancing like a man posessed. He wasn't very good, he was awesome! Hell, it even rubbed off on me, because I was soon dancing without a care in the world, and I was dancing great! Although it did get a little steamy towards the end...

We walked back to the bar, a little tired but laughing. I lifted my glass to my mouth. Hang on, it smells funny. Oh well, it must just be a little sour. Ew, yuck! It tastes funny, too!

*~*~ Billie Joe ~*~*
Phew! I thought she wasn't going to drink it for a second there. Mike and I spiked Xoe's drink with an ecstacy tablet while Tre danced with her. I think Tre's a little too eager. He was really enjoying his dance with little Xoe...
