Young Love, chapter 5
While we were walking we didn't really say anything to each other. By the time we got there I think more and more people found out about the Ayden thing. Everyone just stared at me like I was a clown or something. Joey made a shocked look on his face and then looked at me and said, "Oh, will you look at the time? I got to go." And he ran off. A 7th grader (who's not a friend of Ayden's) walked up to me and said, "Whoa, what'd you do?"
"Me, Ayden, fight, long story."
"Oh...."
"Yeah"
"Good luck for the rest of the day."
"Thanks"
The 7th grader walked away to his classroom, and I ran through all the people to go into mine.

"Class, who will volunteer to take the attendance to the office?" Almost the whole class raised their hands. "Maddie and Joey, please take the attendance down to the office for me." "Okay" said Joey. As we walked out of the classroom, Joey kept taking deep breaths. "Are you okay?" I said. "Yeah. Yeah I'm okay." We continued walking and never said a word to each other. Then after we handed in the attendance, we started walking back to class when I heard Joey say "1.... 2.... 3" And he pushed me against a locker and kissed me on the lips! I was speechless! I thought I was about to faint! He cleared his throat and said "sorry" Then I responded, "sorry for what?" "Sorry, for pushing you against a locker and kissing you." "No need to apologize. I liked the kiss!" He smiled and blushed. It was so cute. Then he said, "You are a really good kisser, Maddie" I smiled. "Thanks." And we continued to get to class.
