Young Love, chapter 6
<p>You're a really good kisser, Maddie? Uh... I don't even think I kissed him. Well, he complimented me. I'll take it. We got back to class and took out our textbooks. <br /> "No need for textbooks. We're going to take a pop quiz!" <br /> Everyone moaned. She asked this girl Michelle to hand out the tests. When Michelle got to Joey's desk he smiled and her and she smiled back. My eyes winded and then I thought maybe she said something funny. Or maybe he said something funny I was freaking out inside! I asked Mrs. Marinic if I could go to the washroom and she said yes. Everyone has to take a partner with him or her so I took Lorena. She could tell something was wrong. <br /> "What is it?" she said. <br /> "Nothing. Except Joey smiled at Michelle and she smiled back!" Lorena rolled her eyes.<br /> "It was just a smile. You make it sound like he kissed her and then he started to ignore you." After she said that I thought, maybe I was overreacting. I mean, Joey kissed me. I should be happy. And like Lorena said, it was just a smile. </p>

<p>*Fire alarm goes off*<br /> "Holy shit!" Said some guy in my class. He does that every time the alarm goes off. Everyone had to line up on the muddy field. <br /> "EWW EWW!!!!!" Screamed Michelle. I couldn't resist laughing. Even Joey laughed. I thought this would be a good time to apologize to Ayden. I couldn't find her anywhere. Next thing I know someone threw mud at my head. And it was none other than Ayden! She ran away because I made that angry look on my face. I hate her! So much for apologizing! <br /> Eventually, Everyone got to go back inside the school. Someone pulled the alarm, but no one found out who pulled it. When we got into class, Joey walked up to me and said <br /> "Why do you have mud in your hair?" <br /> "One word. Well, name. Ayden" <br /> He started to laugh. "So that's why she was sneaking up behind you." <br /> I made that angry face again "You knew she was behind me? Why the hell didn't you tell me?" <br /> Now I'm mad.<br /> "Sorry. I didn't know what she was going to do." He made himself sound so innocent. <br /> "Whatever."</p>
