"Will you relax? You look great." It would have been more believable if it were from anyone but my best friend, Drew. I was feeling a little self conscious since this would be the first time I'd be seeing Billie Joe again, and we'd be alone. We'd been talking a lot on the phone lately, but I hadn't been able to see him again because Green Day's schedule was a bit busy at the moment with interviews and awards shows. I was really excited about being able to see him again. And I'd be seeing the rest of the guys later that night - Tre was having a party, I couldn't wait.

"I'm just not too sure what to wear. He didn't tell me where we're going but he told me not to dress up." I had finally decided on wearing my favourite pair of jeans with a studded belt, my Tootsie Roll flip flops and a Ramones band tee. I applied some eyeliner and mascara and was ready to go.

"Ok, well I know you want me to leave but I want to meet this guy." It looks like I wasn't going to be able to get rid of him. I guess it was ok, after all, he was my best friend. We've known each other for 12 years and he even moved with me to Cali. He was just a bit overprotective because I'd had my share of bad relationships and he'd spotted the bad guys from a mile away. I'd just never listened until it was too late.

"Fine, you can stay." I sighed at him and he rolled his eyes at me. I was still fussing over my hair when the doorbell rang. Suddenly I was so nervous. Drew sensed this and answered the door while I ran to my room for some last minute adjustments. I could hear Drew and Billie Joe chatting down the hall. The sound of his voice got me to relax a little, and I was grateful for that. One last look in the mirror and I was out of the room to meet him. Billie Joe smiled at me and I almost melted right then and there. He looked great - black pants, a purple and black striped shirt and his infamous studded belt. Would it be wrong of me to rip that belt off him right then and there? I decided against it and went to greet him.

"Ames, you look great. Ready to go?" I love pet names.

"Uh, yeah I'm ready." I replied. "You look pretty good yourself." Billie Joe blushed a little then shrugged it off. He motioned to the door and we left. Drew waved goodbye and closed the front door.

"So, where are we going?" I asked, suddenly realizing that I still had no idea where we were heading.

"You'll see." was all I got out of Billie Joe as we got into his Ford Fairlane. We talked and joked around in the car until we'd arrived at our destination.

I looked out the window as we parked and realized where we were. "Disneyland? No way!" I exclaimed. I'd moved to California from Montreal about a year ago and I'd never had the time to go. "How did you know?" I was looking at him curiously.

"Remember when we first met after the concert?" I nodded "Well, when we were 'advanced tipsy' you confessed that even though you thought it was kind of childish, you'd always wanted to go to Disneyland." He paused and looked at me. "So I decided that I wanted to be the one to take you here for the first time." It was my turn to blush. I couldn't believed he'd been paying attention to what I said and made it come true. I smiled at him. "You're too sweet." And I gave him a peck on the cheek. He looked a little bit surprised but smiled back. I grabbed his arm and we ran inside. This was going to be the perfect day.
