What Happens Next?, chapter 1

The concert was about to start, finally. Lizzy and her friend Alysa had been waiting very patiently for almost an hour. The two had been friends for almost 17 years, and both had loved Green Day ever since 1039/Smooth came out. Lizzy had gotten front row tickets to this concert months before, and the two had been waiting for this day to come for what seemed like forever!

Music started to play and Billie Joe Armstrong entered the stage, then Mike Dirnt, then last but certainly not least Tre Cool. Lizzy was staring at Billie Joe ever since he walked onto the stage. She hadn't noticed she was until Alysa elbowed her in her side to snap out of it. Lizzy couldn't help it, she had a thing for Billie Joe, and she always had. There was something about his green eyes, dark brown hair, and punk style that made him irresistible. The band played Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, She, When I Come Around, and Coming Clean. Then they started to play some of their older stuff like Christie Road, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, and Going To Pasalacqua. This was by far the best Green Day concert Lizzy or Alysa had ever been to.

**Lizzy's P.O.V**

Alysa and I started to walk toward the back exit when the crowd started to die down. We didn't want to get trampled by all of the other crazy fans. On top of all that it was raining, very hard for that matter. So every single person that was at the concert was waiting right inside the door for their ride to come and get them. We must have stood there for hours waiting for everyone to get out of the stadium. Finally the line started to move, but then we stopped again. Alysa and I decided to just go a different way and try to get out through a back door or something.

It didn't take long before we were finally at a door. We weren't sure if it was an exit, or some janitor closet but we were going through it anyway. It had been hours since the concert had ended but we were still there, quite frankly I didn't care what kind of door it was, I was going to find out! Suddenly the lights flickered and the power went out, lightening must have struck a nearby power line or something. It was completely dark in the hallway we were in, and nobody was around.
"Holy crap! What are we going to do! Where are you Lizzy! I can't see anything!" Alysa was afraid of the dark, and it didn't seem like she cared if anyone knew it or not.
"I'm right here Alysa, everything will be fine. Lets just keep walking and see where we end up. Just because the power is out doesn't mean we have to lose our minds! Calm down!" Trying to calm Alysa down was never very easy. She always had panic attacks in the littlest situations. I had panic attacks also, but not when something as little as the power going out happened.

Alysa started running down the hallway. I could tell because I could hear her footsteps becoming faster and faster. I franticly tried to keep up with her but she ran too fast, and I couldn't see her so that made it harder to run after her. I couldn't see anything in front of me but I just ran faster and faster, hoping to catch up to Alysa and not run into anything in the process. Then the rest was just a blur, I could feel myself run into someone and I could feel my head hit the ground with enough force to cause me to black out.
