What Happens Next?, chapter 2

I woke up in a really dark room. I couldn't remember anything, and my head hurt too badly to try and figure anything out. All I could remember was Alysa and how I had no clue where she was, but other than that nothing came to mind. I could hear people talking in a whisper; they must have thought I was sleeping. I sat up then to signal that I was awake, even though it hurt my head like crazy I had to do something.

After I sat up I could feel someone rubbing my back, in order to calm me down because by this point I was starting to freak. Certain thoughts were running through my head all at once. Where was Alysa, Why does my head hurt so badly, Why is the power out, Who is sitting next to me... The one thought that got to me the most was where Alysa could have been. She was my best friend and nothing meant more to me than her, she had been there for me when my family was split up because my parents decided to divorce. She was always there, and to think that something bad could have happened to her made me sick to my stomach. On top of all that she was probably having a severe panic attack right about now.

I finally came to complete consciousness and remembered what had happened. It took awhile but I could remember what happened about 4 hours earlier. I decided to start asking questions because the silence was killing me.
"Who are you people and where is Alysa... " I knew they probably had no idea what I was talking about but I needed to know.
"Alysa is at the hospital. She was starting to hyperventilate and passed out. One of the security guards found her lying on the floor."
I'll tell you that voice sounded so familiar, I just couldn't place the name though. After running his words through my mind a little I was starting to give into a panic attack, just rambling certain thoughts that were running through my mind-
"Oh my God, how could I have left her, I knew she needed someone but I wasn't there for her, how could I be such a lousy friend"- I was cut off by that familiar voice again.
"You didn't know where she was, after all you tried to catch up to her when she decided to run, you would have been there for her if you wouldn't have run into me. Don't get yourself all worked up over this, I know how you feel. I get panic attacks all the time. Just slowly breathe in, and out..."
His words were very comforting and he really helped me calm myself down. This is really hard to do when I am caught up in a panic attack. I could tell he cared about my situation. I just couldn't help but think about who it was that was sitting next to me, rubbing my back, calming me down. His voice was so familiar, I know I have heard it before.
"Who are you? I know I have heard your voice before, which means I must have seen you before... "
"Does your head feel ok?" he asked so gently and soft, like he really cared about how I felt.
"Yeah it feels fine, but you still haven't answered my question. Who are you?" I was starting to get frustrated all I wanted to know was who had been sitting next to me for hours making sure I was ok?
"Here, come with me." He gently took my hand in his and led me out into the hallway. We came to an opened door and the rain was still falling very hard but he led me outside anyway. We walked for a long time eventually coming to a park, where there were street lights. I still couldn't see his face because he wasn't facing me. Then he stopped, and turned around. In front of me stood Billie Joe Armstrong, he was the one that had taken care of me when I fell, he was the one who calmed me down when I was panicking, it was him all along.
I just stood there in shock for a couple of minutes, then finally a couple of words made their way out of my mouth.
"Y-you're B-Billie Joe Armstrong." I wasn't freaking out like most people would have done; I just kind of stood there in complete and total shock.
"Yeah, you ran into me when you were running down the hallway chasing after your friend. You fell pretty hard so I took you into our backstage room and sat with you until you woke up. I just wanted to make sure you were alright."
"Well, in that case, thank you for sitting with me. Also I am so sorry for running into you I didn't mean"-
"No, It's okay. I'm glad you did, because if you wouldn't have run into me we wouldn't have met."
He was just standing there staring into my eyes with his perfect green eyes. I couldn't move, I wonder if he really felt like that or if he was just saying that to be nice and once again help cheer me up. Then he moved in a little closer and I just stood there like a complete and total dummy. At that moment our lips touched, and I could feel myself kiss him back. It was a soft kiss, but it had a lot of feeling and power behind it. He gently pulled away and we stood there in the rain, quiet, until he picked up my hand from my side and held it. Then we started to walk back to the stadium, holding hands, together.
