What Happens Next?, chapter 3

As we walked back to the stadium I stopped and let go of his hand. He kept walking and finally stopped, turned around, and faced me. We were just staring at each other for a long time; neither of us knew what to say to each other. Because of the look he had on his face I don't think he even knew what he had just done. Finally I decided to speak up.

"Billie Joe, you do know that you just kissed me, on the lips, right?" I know that sounded stupid, but it's all I could think of. I didn't want to just stand there all night so I had to say something!

"Uh, yea, but I am really, really sorry... I wasn't thinking. You're just so... beautiful. I couldn't help it. God, how could I be so STUPID!"

I could tell he was mentally kicking himself in the head... I did feel kind of bad though, because it was partially my fault too, I gave into the kiss, and I didn't try to stop it either.

"Billie Joe, don't be so hard on yourself, it wasn't entirely your fault. I could have stopped you, but I didn't. I also could have just stood there, but I didn't, I kissed you back!"

I started feeling really weird at that second. Something I had dreamed about for a long time was to meet Billie Joe Armstrong. Not to kiss him or anything like that but to get his autograph, talk about his music, or something like that. I couldn't believe myself; it was like I was turning into a teenie. I finally get my chance to meet Billie Joe Armstrong and I blew it by kissing him when we had just met. What was I thinking!

I couldn't stand there anymore so I just started to walk away from him, in the other direction. Not towards the stadium, but towards the park, where we had come from. Plus that was the way to my apartment, and the hospital, where I could go see Alysa.

Just as I reached the park I heard someone behind me. I turned around but there was nobody in sight. As far as I could see it was just trees, playground equipment, benches, and trashcans. I kept walking and every so often I could swear I heard someone walking behind me, and every time I looked I couldn't see anyone. This was starting to get really annoying so when I reached the street at the end of the park I stopped and turned around. Waiting for him to come out, I knew it was Billie Joe who was following me out of the park.

"Billie Joe Armstrong come out of the park right now! This is starting to get really annoying!" I was getting really pissed off because he wouldn't come out.

I turned around to walk to my apartment and somebody grabbed me from behind and held me really tight. Whoever it was wouldn't let me go! At that moment I knew it wasn't Billie Joe because he came across as being a gentle, kind person who would never hurt anyone, even if he didn't know them that well.

I struggled to get free and then I realized who that person was, Dylan, my ex-boyfriend. He was an abusive boyfriend, and never wanted to let me go. I found out he was cheating on me with a few other girls and decided to break up with him. He just can't seem to get it through his thick skull that I don't want to go out with him anymore! Even though, he can date as many girls as he wants while we are "broken up" but I can never even lay an eye on one guy or he would hurt me so badly.

"I saw you with that so called rock star, Billie Joe. You kissed him! How many times do I have to tell you that you are MINE! We are not over and never will be. I love you!" After he said that he kneed me in the stomach, and I fell to the ground.

"You don't love me you idiot! After we "broke up" you have been seeing so many other girls, but you always expect me to come crawling back to you! I hate you!!! I have never loved you. You are abusive; you don't listen to me when I talk to you, and my feelings have never mattered to you!" I was struggling to get my words out because he knocked all of the air out of my lungs when he kneed me in the stomach.

"How could you say that I never loved you?!" I must have gotten him really pissed off because he pulled me up off of the ground and proceeded to kick me in the stomach, then when I fell to the ground, he would kick me all over. Everywhere he could he would do damage, especially my head. I blacked out on the side of the road, but before he walked away I could faintly hear him say,

"If you ever do something like that again, you won't be the only one getting hurt."
