Welcome To Paradise, chapter 5
"Holy shit! About fuckin time!" yelled Rai, as JoAnna came walking into the room.
"Uh yea, sorry. I got lost." JoAnna attempted, lamely.
Rai looked at her with a confused expression, then shrugged it off. "Okay, well did you get the tissues?"
JoAnna slapped her forehead, "Shit!"
Rai looked at her, awestruck. "Okay... I'll take that as a 'no'. Whatever, Danelle stopped crying like an hour ago.
"Where IS Danelle?"
"In the bathroom... I think."
JoAnna nodded. Just then, Danelle came back into the room, sighing.
"There you are! I was looking everywhere for you!"
JoAnna laughed nervously, "Heh, yea sorry."
"Where'd you go anyway?" asked Danelle.
"Uh... I uh... went looking for a store to... to buy your tissues. But, I couldn't find one... and I got lost... and um... then I came back."
Danelle and Rai stared at her blankly.
"Riiight..." replied Rai.
"So Danelle! Whatcha gonna do? Tre or Jakob?" asked JoAnna suddenly, desperately trying to change the subject.
Danelle sighed. "I have no fuckin idea."
"Wait. You're gonna choose Jakob, right? I mean... you don't like Tre... do you?" asked Rai.
"I... I uh... yea." replied Danelle, looking at the ground.
"What?! Since when?! Why didn't you TELL me?!"
"Rai, it's not like it would have made a difference! I didn't know he liked me back! Besides, I always thought it was just a childhood crush."
"God. This is so fuckin complicated." said Rai.
"Yea.. you're telling me!" replied Danelle.
"Yea... complicated." said JoAnna.
"By the way, JoAnna, don't think you're getting off easy. I know something happened." smirked Rai, "Might as well just say it."
JoAnna sighed, sitting down on the couch.
"Guys, I fucked up. But, it was a good fuck up. Like, it felt right. I... I don't know." said JoAnna, running her hands through her hair.
Danelle and Rai listened intentively for her to continue.
"I... I had sex with Mike."
Danelle gasped as Rai broke into a huge grin.
"How was it?" Rai asked.
"Rai!" Danelle yelled, while slapping her arm.
"What? I'm just curious." replied Rai.
"Fuckin... awesome." said JoAnna.
Rai broke out into a fit of uncontrollable laughter, as Danelle and JoAnna stared at her blankly.
"What's so funny?" asked Danelle.
Once Rai regained her composure, she answered, "What is it with these guys? I mean, I fell for Billie, Danelle fell for Tre, and now JoAnna's falling for Mike. It's just funny."
"Yea. It's just hysterical." replied Danelle, sarcastically.
"Whatever. I thought it was." replied Rai.
"Okay, please don't tell anyone about the whole Mike and me situation. That's the last thing we need is for everyone to know about it." said JoAnna.
"Who else knows?" asked Danelle.
"Well, you guys and Jason. But we couldn't really help it with Jason. He kinda... walked in on us." answered JoAnna shyly.
"Oh my god... that lucky bastard!" joked Rai.
Danelle shook her head. "Jo, I think the situation being kept a secret is gonna be impossible. I bet Mike's telling Billie as we speak. They tell each other everything. It's like they can't hide anything. It's actually... kinda creepy."
"Oh god." said JoAnna.
"Yea. I'm sorry. But it's okay. Everything's gonna be fine." said Danelle reassuringly.
A moment of silence fell upon them, before Danelle started walking towards the door.
"Where are you going?" questioned Rai.
Danelle turned around. "To go find Tre. We have a shitload to talk about."
"Uh yea, sorry. I got lost." JoAnna attempted, lamely.
