A Lifelong Bond, chapter 2
That was the best day I've had in awhile. Jakob finally talked to me, Adrienne and Billie Joe welcomed me into their household with open arms, and Tre was his usually obnoxious self.
"So, did you have a good time?" Tre asked, while walking me home. I nodded and smiled. He looked at me and smiled, too.
"This is where I live, thanks Tre." I said, giving me a hug. He hugged me back and gave me his number, and I gave him mine.
"I'll call you tomorrow. Adie said she would like to hang with you. It's about time she had a girl to hang with." He laughed. I smiled.
"That would be cool, so see you later." I said and he waved good bye. I smiled to my self. Things are turning for the better after all. I went inside and went to bed.
I woke up to the phone ringing. I got up and checked the clock, 10:30 P.M. 'what the hell?' I thought and answered the phone.
"Hello?" I asked, my voice tired and groggy. There was a shuffle in the background and then I heard a 'thump'.
"Oh, hey, Cass. I was calling to see if I could come pick you up. Sorry if I woke you up." Tre said. I smiled and nodded, but I forgot he couldn't see me.
"Yeah, I'll get ready." I said. There were more noises in the background, and Tre was cursing under his breath.
"Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes. Bye!" he said and hung up.
I had gotten ready, and checked the time. 11:34. What the hell is he doing? Oops, I spoke too soon. The doorbell rung. I checked through the glass and there stood Mike and Tre, holding snow cones. Weird.
"Sorry we're late, Cass, Mikey boy here wanted a snow cone." laughed Tre. Mike glared at him and punched him in the arm playfully.
We got in the car and Mike started to talk to me. It started out with a simple conversation, and Mike decided to embarrass me.
"So, do you like Jakob?" he asked. I nodded and sighed.
"As a friend. I just met him, and he probably has a girlfriend." I said. Mike just smiled and nodded and stayed quiet.
"You like him more than a friend." He stated, nodding. I blushed and looked down.
"How did you know?" I asked. He just smiled and started tapping the back of his seat.
"The way you looked at each other. Like you guys were going to fuck on the spot." he smirked. I gasped and Tre laughed.
"We're here!" Tre shouted, pulling up to the Armstrong household. Mike sighed and slapped his head.
"Way to go, Man Who States the Fucking Obvious!" Mike said. I laughed as Tre playfully rolled his eyes.
Tre knocked on Billie Joe's door, and Adrienne answered it. She smiled when she saw me. She gave me a hug.
"What's up, hun?" she asked politely. Adrienne was such a nice person; I was really disappointed in the people who hated her because she was married to a good looking rock star.
"Nothing much, Adrienne. What's up with you?" I asked. She smiled.
"Nothing much here neither and you can call me Adie." She said, leading me into the house.
"So why don't you and I go shopping? It's been awhile since I had female company." she asked. I smiled and nodded. She grabbed her purse and headed into the living room where the boys were.
"Let's go tell the boys." she said.
The guys were all sitting around the T.V with beers in their hands, with the acceptation of Joey, watching the cheer leaders in awe.
Adrienne told them where we were going, and picked up some empty beer bottles and throwing them into the trash. I figured there would be a lot more when we came back.
Jakob came down from upstairs and smiled. I smiled back, as he came to talk to his mom.
"Hey, Mom. Are you going some where?" he asked. Adie nodded. Jakob smiled and kissed her on the cheek, and then, without thinking, he kissed me on the cheek. The other guys were watching.
"We knew you liked her!" they shouted. Jakob and I blushed like mad. Adie and I went to the mall, leaving the boys to deal with Jakob.
