You're A Blur In My Dead Past, chapter 20

"That had to have been one of the most messed up years of our lives." Billie joked.
"Fuck yeah," Mike agreed.
"What ever happened to Mags? Or Bianca for that matter?"
Mike and Tre shrugged in unison. "I heard Bianca moved up to Connecticut for college after we graduated." Tre said.
"Shouldn't you know what happened to Mags, Billie?" Mike asked.
"I should. But I don't. Didn't we leave for tour like, 3 months after she called you or something?"
"Yeah."
"I never heard from her after that."
The three bandmates sat in Tre's backyard, sipping beer, 17 years later.
"Tre man. You and Bianca were fucking inseparable. How could you just let her move halfway across the country?" Billie asked.
"We broke it off when I told her I was going on tour with you guys." He sipped his beer and belched. "I could have sworn I saw her at one of our shows once though, in like, 96."
"Yeah!" Mike agreed, "I saw her too! Mags was with her! They were gone after the show when I went to look for them."
"So much for you being over her," the guitarist joked, earning himself a punch from Mike.
"So I wasn't over her. Big fucking deal. I've got my ways to remember her."
Tre stared at Mike. "those ways being?"
He blushed slightly, chugging his beer. "Estelle's middle name, Desiree. It was Megan's middle name."
Billie and Tre gaped at him and burst out in laughter.
"You named your daughter after your ex-girlfriend?" Tre said between laughs.
"Fuck off."

"Score! California here we come!" Bianca belted out in the airport.
"God. I can't believe we're finally going back." Mags agreed.
"Yeah. After you ran away from both Billie AND Mike."
"Hey!" Mags complained, shoving Bianca a little. "I didn't run away. I merely, took a permanent vacation."
Bianca laughed.
"What about you B? If I remember right, you told Tre you were moving to Connecticut because you were going to college?"
"Shut up" she mumbled. "So I lied. Big whoop."
"So we're agreed that if we just happen to run into any members of Green day, we run screaming in the opposite direction?"
"Totally."
"Flight 86 to San Francisco is now boarding," the intercom rang out in the airport.
"Just a coincidence!" Mags said before Bianca opened her mouth.
The other woman sighed and sang the familiar lyrics as they boarded their plane.
"There's no return from 86."
