The month of September was always a hurtful and emotional month for Billie Joe Armstrong. Of course it was the month that 24 years ago his father Andy had died. All of the pain his family had to go through. Not getting everything they needed, and not even getting any Christmas presents was always a big dissapointment. Like every September, it was the worst month of the year for anyone who had known Andy Armstrong. Billie Joe missed all the times they had shared and never forgot them. Nobody really understood Billie Joe and all that he had to go through accept for one person. Little did Billie Joe know it but that one person would soon bump into him...

Billie sat on his and Adrienne's bed alone with Blue in his arms. Adrienne had been out with Joey and Jakob for the day leaving Billie by himself. He began to strum the tune to Wake Me Up When September Ends then stopped as tears flodded his eyes and streaked down his cheeks. He lifted up his sleeve and whiped away his tears. "Dad..." he whispered putting blue down in his lap. He looked at the different stickers that were on it remembering the day that his father had given it to him.

Knock knock. "Come in..." said Billie Joe sitting on his bed reading a book. Andy Armstrong opened the door carrying a black case. He walked in and sat next to Billie. "What's that?" asked Billie Joe curiously glancing at the black case. Andy layed the case over his and his son's lap.

"I think it's about time...that you would get your first..." Andy Armstrong unzipped the case revaling a blue electric guitar. "Guitar..." he added. Billie Joe's eyes widened at the view of his first guitar. It was the most beautiful thing he had every seen.

"It's... beautiful!" exclaimed Billie in amazment.

"I knew you'd like it!" said Andy staring at Billie's bright green eyes.

"Thank you Dad! I love it!" said Billie hugging his father as tight as he could.

"You're welcome," he replied. Andy hugged him back. A kodak moment. If only there was a camera. Click.

Billie snapped out of the trance of his distant memory. One thing he always remembered about his father was his personality. It was scary how much alike he was to his father. They both had the same eyes, and rebellious attitude that Billie missed his father for. Billie always went to his father for everything and any time he ever needed advice. The day he died, was the worst day of Billie Joe Armstrong's life. That was the day his whole world fell apart. The only piece of his father left was Blue. The strings shimmered in the light reflecting in Billie Joe's bright green eyes which were puffy from all the shedding tears. Billie was lost in all of his sad thoughts loose with the memory of his beloved father. It was obvious that he could never ever forget every single memory he had with his dad. He missed him more than ever. Knock knock. Someone was at the door. With Billie Joe's thought's being disturbed, the doorknob began to twist and the door began to creep open.
